Flintstones...

I just got this game two weeks ago and is in great shape. The previous owner informs when last time played approx 6 months ago the DMD worked without problems. Game had been shut off since then and when the seller decided to sell the game in October discovers the dead DMD and advertises is as defect when selling.

From the DMD controller board I have all perfect outgoing voltage to the DMD except for pin no 8 which is supposed to deliver 62v.. I get 5 V. Could this be due to the C6 & C7 caps having dried up ? A diode goes bad under stress but since the game has been shut off for so long I am thinking this being a secondary problem.

What do you guys think ? Which spec on replacement caps with today's values do I need and where do I get them ? C6 & C7 are not identical according to the manual..

Any help and further advice is highly appreciated.

It is best to rebuild the whole High Voltage on the DMD controller when you have a failure.
Capacitors are not normally a failure of the High Voltage.

You can now choose between a LED or LCD ColorDMD for your game. If you wanted one in JM instead, then you could swap the DMD Controller board between the games so that Flintstones would still have a DMD while JM would have an awesome color display.
