I believe my cpu board on STTNG has gone bad and I have no replacement board for it. Does anyone have a spare I could buy? I am sure any board from that era would work. I would greatly appreciate it so I could return back to duty
I believe Rottendog sells a WPC CPU/MPU board - http://www.bigdaddy-enterprises.com/ProductPages/RotDogBoards.html
Either loaded or bare options.
You should describe to us why you think the board "went bad".
Unless it has alkaline corrosion from leaky batteries, there is nothing on that board that can not be fixed.

even with acid damage, often it can be cleaned with 1 part vinegar and 1 part water.
STTNG came up with a sound board interface error and that created no sound and no power to flippers. I switched out ribbon cables and reseated all chips... same issue... I took the cpu out of JD and put it in STTNG and it worked perfect after switching the roms...
the cpu looks ok and shows no sign of heat or anything so I was just assuming it was bad or something went bad within it... no battery corrosion or anything
To verify your theory, I'd put the original MPU back in and see if the symptom reappears.
Even if it does, the likely cause is one of the output buffer ICs. It's much better to fix that board than to buy a new one.

Confirmed.
Send the original MPU off to your favorite repairman.
There are several of us who can fix it.
Drop me a PM if you'd like me to take care of it for you.
Thanks for doing that test.

I agree with Chris. Likely a buffer chip.
Chris is a good tech, send it his way, and he will fix you up
Happy to help!

FYI...the board did have a problem with the sound board interface.
Corrosion had invaded the ribbon connector header. It was very slight, and not visible since it was hidden under the connector.
Corrosion...
