Currently working on a Flinstones playfield and have been cleaning/rebuilding all the mechanisms.

Just noticed that the wiring to each coil is not the same. From my quick search, it appears that the wiring to each coil lug should not matter? Is this correct? This is due to the coil diodes being located on the driver board, rather than on the coil.

I am used to working on older machines with diodes on each coil. Just wanted to double check.

No diode - doesn't matter on wpc. Coil works the same, and a tech doesn't make a mistake and blow things up on location.

Exception being three lug coils like flippers.
