Ok, I have a Getaway that is usually pretty functional but has been hacked to hell by previous owners. I'm always finding something new that I can't believe someone did. The latest is that I finally got around to taking a look at the cabinet speaker which wasn't working and discovered that it wasn't even hooked up. Apparently both J504-3 and J505-2 run from the sound board to the the backbox speakers instead of having J504-3 run to the cabinet speaker. And the wires running to the cabinet speakers were just cut and lying loose in the backbox. Backbox speakers run fine in the current setup.

To test out the cabinet speaker I thought I could simply take those two cut wires (after I checked continuity and confirmed that they went to the two leads on the cabinet speaker) and clip them to J504-3 and J505-2. So tried that and got nothing. Hooked things back up the way they were before and backbox speakers still working. Wanted to check with all you folks that are smarter than me before I went further here. Any advice?
