If you like busy work and want to drink a few beers why not. But I voted not to touch if it's not screwed up.
I doubt you plan on having your machine on for 12+ hours a day for years.
Leave it alone. Unless you plan on leaving your game on 12 hours a day it shouldn't be an issue. If it does go out, 30 minutes and $1 worth of parts and you are golden.

I'd leave it alone, too. If you still can't sleep at night maybe think about fitting the machine with LED's.
