Hi guys,

I have picked up an AFM and have been troubleshooting a few issues which I have narrowed down a display issue to the MPU. The MPU in question had battery acid damage and would not boot. U5 was hit hardest and that has been socketed and replaced and the MPU now boots. You can play a game etc but no display. I have swapped another MPU in and the DMD works fine so it's definitely the MPU. U27 and U11 were also hit by the acid (not nearly as bad and have been cleaned) and this is my next step but I am awaiting the chips before I can replace.
I have also re-seated the ASIC and all other socketed chips.

I was mainly looking for some reference as to what chips control or are used in the display circuit. My hope is that U27 and/or U11 are involved and that would solve my issue. As I got this machine in this state I can't be sure if it's just the acid damage or if a totally unrelated component has died.

Any help would be appreciated.

At this stage only the most obviously affected components have been replaced with a few others awaiting parts. Thanks for your input.
