WOZ Witch skillsot when hitting start button

After more than 1000 games on my WoZ, It started occasionally registering a witch skill shot. I adjusted the witch sensitivity as best as I could; I tried all the way back and all the way forward and neither made a difference. It happens roughly one out of 5 games.

I also noticed that when there is a ball in the shooter lane, if you hit certain switches (First "O" and 2nd "T" in TOTO) the ball auto-fires. The same thing happens from on one of the Resuce targets on the right side. Two separate issues but could be related?

Any help would be greatly appreciated since I am hosting a tournament this Saturday.

Thanks,
Dave

what does it do in active switch test when the ball is in the shooter lane and you shake the machine a bit?

I will try that...what do you mean by active switch test. I think there is dedicated, Matrix and Single Switch test. Which one is it?

Also, what I find weird is the Witch skillshot registers upon hitting the start button before any mechanical vibrations.

Not related.

The first is the witch. Make sure both switches are adjusted correctly. As Surfsled said, switch test and then thump around. It will show which one is too close. Then stick a piece of paper or something in them and thump it around again (just to prove it isn't anything else). Finally adjust the switch so it doesn't happen.

As for the launch, yes, if a ball is in the shooter lane and you activate switches, the game thinks there is something else going on and will launch it. As far as I understand it, that is expected behavior.

mine was doing the exact same thing and also during game play it was registering hits. Look at the connections on the switch and I guarantee one of the contact leads is touching another one. Mine was bent upon delivery and once I separated the contact leads from one another it fixed the problem. Hope that' the fix.
