People have at least double the amount invested per game now. With the strong economy, people are also buying more games today than in recent history. The third difference is that there are a TON of new people to the hobby this time. No one knows how they will react to a life changing economic downturn...
I'm not saying I can predict the future, but saying the hobby will be "just fine" if the economy goes down he drain again is just wishful thinking. It may not collapse, but there will absolutely be a correction...
