Just arrived home from the Ohio show and my first exposure to WOZ.
Random thoughts and observations...
- Absolutely beautiful machines and artwork, the level of thought and work that went into producing it was readily apparent.
- The level of quality exceeded much of what was on the floor, including many of the heralded 90's gems. The variety and execution of the playfield parts was impressive.
- Coming from a pinball pedigree of mostly EM's, I thought the play was smooth and flowing...certainly not speedy, but does this title really emit that type of game play? I was very satisfied with the pace.
- I played both machines. The Emerald City version's flippers were less robust than the standard machine, causing me to work a little harder to hit the upper playfield consistently.
- The disconnect in software mentioned previously was distracting, but did not negate the fun, understanding that it is still a work in progress.
- If money were no object, I'd own one (along with a LOT of others), but alas, kids in college.
Thanks to JJP for bringing them out, I enjoyed seeing what all the fuss the last two years has been about.
