Quoted from vid1900:

As soon as you see the parking lot full of cars at the facility that the assembly will be taking place at, you know that you are 6 months away from the game rolling out.
You know that there will need to be forklift operators, people making wiring harnesses, assembling cabinets, soldering parts, sorting shipments, testing machines, cleaning glass, touching up paint, populating playfields, prepping boxes....
You guys can guess and speculate forever, or someone who lives nearby can drive past the facility once a week and watch for when all the workers get hired in.
Simple really.

A lot of the assembly is done elsewhere. The cabinets are built elsewhere. The coils are pre-assembled because that is the way Jack wanted it. The wiring harnesses are probably also made by a supplier. The lighting should be much simpler to assemble because they will be with circuit boards instead of individually wired light sockets.

Quoted from vid1900:

Yep, that's all standard stuff even back in the Williams days (except that everyone else made their own wiring harnesses) .

I am pretty sure Stern builds their own flipper mechanisms and coil assemblies. Jack is having the whole thing ready to install when he gets it.

Didn't they say that they would have 8 games at IAAPA?

Quoted from Bartstoys:

Well that's a good sign, there are machines being built. Luckily since JJP is a NJ company everyone is guaranteed their machines. The NJ dept of consumer affairs almost assured Bob that he would receive his game. This because each consumer is protected by some NJ law about theft by deception. Stay tuned!

Ok, I think this kind of crap is enough to test the new suspension process Absocountry.

Also, anybody that wants their money back can simply contact JJP. There are plenty of people in line for the LE's that are sold out.

Quoted from McCune:

Jack told me that they have about 6 or 7 games and 10 more are being built as of last week .
Jim

Thanks for posting this Jim. It really helps clarify what we are seeing in pictures of the manufacturing. I would guess that Jack would like to have some of these machines be used for test locations eventually. Jack mentioned a few days back in the WOZ newsgroup that they would likely place some of the first test games at unannounced locations. That would lead me to believe that they would like to see how a game or two holds up with somewhat light traffic at first.

Also, there have been rumors that there could be 4 to 8 machines at the IAAPA so they will need 15 to 20 to cover that plus route test and shop test games.

A few more photos posted today of Jack's factory:

(You'll have to copy & paste that.)
I've attached a few.

Getting a little more excited but will still keep it in check. It will get much more exciting when we see those pictured dozens and dozens of cabinets filled with LCD screened backboxes and equally as many playfields that are populated.

After looking at the pictures, it certainly seems feasible that a few could start shipping as early sometime in December. It just depends on how much software is done, fixing mechanical design issues, finishing touches such as the crystal ball, and whether all of the parts are available yet

Holy cow! Are you dude number 1? Ha ha..anyways, yes it is a long time to wait but as many have said before, tis to be expected with what you bought into. Hang tight, i think your one of the many lucky, games looks really cool and i like the diagnostic and test modes from what i saw, ground breaking stuff just right there alone.

Those new pics tell a good story. Nough said! : )

They do show much more than we have seen before. To get this thread back on topic since it was sidetracked quite a bit by one poster, here is the link to the pictures again:
