The following information was sent out from JJP this morning

In actual game play the Crystal Ball will show custom video animation rendered specifically for the size screen and appropriate reward rule and reward.

So in effect, our game does not have one monitor but two!

#2 11 years ago

Simply amazing!

#3 11 years ago

Bad Azz!

#4 11 years ago

Incredible! Exceeds my expectations. Jack keeps giving us more.

#5 11 years ago

I'd say the crystal ball has definitely exceeded my expectations...!

#6 11 years ago

Wow, that is awesome. Still don't want a WoZ pin though.

#7 11 years ago

Wow, just incredible!

#8 11 years ago

Awesome! Looks good!

#9 11 years ago

SWEET!

#10 11 years ago

makes me want to buy it

#11 11 years ago

That's awsome. I want a WOZ now

#12 11 years ago

It really does exceed expectations. Nice work team JJP.

#13 11 years ago

Nice finish.. makes me want one just for all the light show/toys and now that incredible eye candy.. can't wait to play one.

#14 11 years ago

This is exactly what many of us were hoping for and expecting! Can't wait to see the effect in person! What a machine this is going to be...

#15 11 years ago

WOW!
That is beautiful and goes perfect with the theme.
I am blown away!

Can't wait till my son sees this.

Looks awesome.

I wonder how it looks from different angles. The camera was kept rock solid in that video. I hope the kids can see it correctly at their low angle viewing position.

#17 11 years ago

Nice, my wife and kids are going to love this machine.

#18 11 years ago

Very impressive.

When are they going to fix the music? Every time I see a new video I'm wowed by everything they've put in there, but the music and call outs kills it once again for me.

#19 11 years ago

Total Awesomeness. This is the kind of stuff I would like to see on future pinball machines!

#20 11 years ago

This game is coming fully loaded and full of quality. The theme was always going to stop me from buying but I may have to go on the next pre-order.......just need a better theme and faster gameplay.

Hope this crystal ball goes in next pin!

Good news as Stern are going to have to keep upping their game and finishing codes!!!

#21 11 years ago

Wow... That's really killer.....

#22 11 years ago

Wow that is impressive!!! I hope to get a chance to play one of these when it comes out. This pin appears to be far more complicated than anything produced for it so, do you think it may be beyond the average owners ability to fix???????

#23 11 years ago

Pretty cool feature. I had a feeling this was going to be the feature. Wondering how far they are with custom animations for it and if it is going to delay it even further.

#25 11 years ago

this game is making Pinball History for sure..

the crystall ball with Video is something we never ever encountered before.. what an spectacular sight that must be in person.. amazing JJP!!

gosh too bad i dont have the cash laying around to buy such an extrordinary awesome pinballmachine

Super exclusive ad from the Pinside Marketplace!
#26 11 years ago

Clearly this will be the most feature packed game ever made... maybe never to be eclipsed even by later JJP pins? When we finally see it all together in a complete package I really just cant imagine how much awesome will be in this PIN.

#27 11 years ago

That was about the best update I have seen! I can't wait #525

#28 11 years ago

Home fu**ing run! I was preparing myself to be disappointed with the crystal ball but they actually accomplished exactly what I was hoping for with it.

#29 11 years ago

Overkill, baby... gotta love inaugural products!

#30 11 years ago

I have to say, I don't have any horse in this race, but that is just stunning.

Chris

#31 11 years ago

Ok...... Now that is COOL.

#32 11 years ago

Stern better watch out. This guy knows what he is doing and he's about to take a big chunk out of there market.

#34 11 years ago

This is going to kill on location! Not planning on putting my LE out but....

Also, sure I want the next pin too and theme is going to be more my style but there are plenty of pins I love that would have never considered based on theme. This machine is costing JJP much to build because they are building a pin and company at the same time. Either the next machine is going to cost a lot more or won't have nearly as much into it. So, I may get the theme I want but in my opinion no where near the features.

All I can say is Jack you over delivered as promised!

#35 11 years ago

Yup.. I think I have been convinced.

#36 11 years ago

That could not be any cooler. Well done!

#37 11 years ago

Just amazing!

Does The Hobbit story use the Palantir ever? I'm not familiar enough with The Hobbit to know. Could be a cool Palantir in JJP's Hobbit pin too.

Even the JJP haters/skeptics have to be taken-a-back when they see this. VERY cool and innovative! Wish I had the monies to get one! Congrats to those who are in line for one...it keeps getting nothing but better the more they reveal about it!

......having said that, I'd still probably stab myself in the ears with a screwdriver after the 1,000th time of hearing "We're of to see the wizard" for the music.....

#40 11 years ago
Quoted from flashburn:

Wow, that is awesome. Still don't want a WoZ pin though.

Bingo. With that said, I can't wait to see what the second theme will be.

#41 11 years ago

This is GREAT!!!!!

JJP >> Get Pat Lawlor on board for Game #2 and I will buy NOW!

#42 11 years ago

... but does it make the ball go faster? KIDDING!

Looks cool

#43 11 years ago

There's so much going on in this machine it's awesome. My feeling is, we probably won't see what this machine is fully-capable of doing until long after its released, and I sincerely hope that Jack lets Keith and his team continue to update and enhance the software, even if they move on to other games.

#44 11 years ago

Now that is crystal clear! WOW... it just keeps getting better.

Yes, I do have a horse in the race, and I'm sure to be continued into race #2 & #3.

I dunno, I think the animatronic band in the more expensive ACDC LE was way cooler....

Yea, that back-forth, back-forth motion makes me want to rock out! It's just like being in concert. I don't know how they managed to capture the essence of AC/DC's live show with rivets and plastic but my hat is off to them!

Do you feel better ?

Wow you must be high or joking.

I am stunned. I was thinking it would just do some kind of cool light show. A monitor in the crystal ball is just cool. No expense has been spared on this machine. It's been a long wait but it looks like the wait will be well worth it.

#49 11 years ago
Quoted from McCune:

Do you feel better ?

Yeah, that I'm getting more value for my pin $$$. Even the wonderful Tron LE has a cool mini-arcade cabinet that... glows.

#50 11 years ago

Really cool. Your getting a lot on pin for the money on this, just wish I didn't have such a mental hangup over the theme or I would be in on this.
