Quoted from jeffgoldstein2:No reason to ask when your games will ship. Every date they have ever given has been incorrect. Why believe anything they say now? Once the games actually start shipping then you will get some more realistic ship dates.
Technically not true. He's always conditioned his dates with "I hope to....", "Our goal is.....", "We'd like to....." and so on. It was't until last month when he said "games will start shipping in March. Period."
The earlier "Jack code" statements were probably more to set goals for and to motivate his team. It was only we, the eager customers, that construed those statements as fact and were let down when those dates came and went.
Why believe? Well, he's made that firm commitment more than just a couple of times. You don't make a guarantee like that without knowing you can deliver. Plus, I doubt his phone and email systems could handle all the angry phone calls/emails if he doesn't come through.
