I was just playing around with the latest ISO image and noticed that it's looking for one of those USB security dongles in order to run the software. It's a HASP Sentinel to be specific. I was wondering if this is an actual USB dongle that's plugged into a USB port in the pinball machine or if it's somehow embedded onto the motherboard. I'm just curious on how this is implemented. Do any of you WoZ owners know?

If you look at the back of your motherboard you will see the dongle plugged into the usb port.
I don't know all of its functions, but one thing I think it does is tells your machine if its a limited edition or not.
In other words, in my audits etc menu, my machine will allow me to assign what machine number I have.
On the standard edition WOZ in the arcade that I go to has the option ghosted out.
There are numbers on the top of that dongle. I painted them out for this post.

Thanks for posting! That confirms what I thought. I believe the key just enables the software to run with the appropriate options. Without it plugged in, the software wont run.

WOZ uses this motherboard:

I'm not sure which CPU though.
