I thought about buying some tiny plastic apples and sticking them different places on the game. In the movie the trees throw apple at Dorothy and her group.

I'll take two if you sell them.

Yes, I'm in for one if you sell them....
sometimes my cage drooped a little forward. I attached a thin wire around the cage , then wrapped the wire around the screw head right behind it on the upper playfield. This stabilized it and made it more solid because of the tie down of the wire.

THANK YOU INDYPINHEAD!!!......Throne room mod tight and looks great....plastic protectors also spot on....great product....highly recommend!!!.....mark
Indypinhead's throne room mod is surprisingly effective. At first I thought it might be a nice minor improvement, but it really makes the throne room plastic pop! The enhanced contrast with the green wizard on the black background is dramatic. Installation took 5 minutes. I highly recommend this mod. Well done Tim!

Agreed.....seems to add an extra touch of " finish" to the pf, as well...which is hard to do given the high level that already exists on this machine....... sort of "zones" that area of pf....similar to what Matt's walls do to the Castle.....
I just received my WOZ 75th this week. Here are a few mods I've installed so far. The only mods I've purchased so far are cliffy's munchkin land and shooter lane protectors and indypinhead's wizard shroud, which are really nice. The rest I've made myself. The last thing on my list is to make the haunted forest tree eyes light up. I'm going to use a pic microcontroller to do several random flashing and fade effects.

Is that a single 12v strip behind the ball drain?
Quoted from MK6PIN:Is that a single 12v strip behind the ball drain?
I buy 12v LED strips in long reels off ebay from China. What's pictured is two segments of three LEDs. You can cut them to any length as long as it's in segments of three.

Thanks Tekman....I buy the reels too....just couldn't tell if it was one or 2 strips.......I like the light effect you accomplished in that area..might have to do a trial run.....mark
I added my Haunted Forest LED tree eyes today. My design is based on the PIC12F683 microcontroller and has several attract effects. It looks cool with the eyes staring at you with periods of alternating flash effects, fades between the three trees, and random eye blinking. I went with orange LEDs because they looked the best. The random eye blinking is kind of creepy and really makes this mod pop!

This is interesting, can you shoot a video of the pops moving with the greenery on?
May be fun to have for a temporary thing for a party
Quoted from thewool:Tekman, that looks great! Would you consider selling this as a kit form for people to install?
Not sure I would want to take this on, but I'll give it some thought.

Ok thanks for at least considering the idea. I would be interested if you did decide to do it. Cheers.

I added the red ball shooter rod, it seems that my shooter is weaker now... Can anyone confirm?
I looked in the manual and it does not say what strength the large shooter spring is.
I think I'd like to change it out with a stiffer one, anyone know which one I should use?
Thanks guys

I just noticed this. Video would be hard by myself. Greenery does not move with or effect the pops. It does fall out of place a bit every dozen games or so. I plan to wrap tighter to the trees and rail with green dental floss but have been lazy. The "apples" are wrapped around the greenery and a top tree branch. I anchored stems of the greenery in the vacant castle post hole and the space behind the plastic by small sling near crystal ball. Other stems of greenery descend against cabinet. Those are the ones that vibrate out of place more often. I have been too lazy to introduce any scotch magic tape to see if it anchors things. I recently stuffed a greenery stem against cabinet in back of the munchkin huts. Absolutely stable but jury still out on the aesthetic appeal. It has mostly to do with the cheap look of the munchkin huts. I would be on board with my wallet for an
improved maybe resin quality detailed munchkin hut mod........

Yes, Go to our site and click on the Haunted Forest, at the bottom you will see the Kit with the Effects Generator, which comes with LED Lighting for all 3 trees and the ability to select different eye effects at the touch of a button. Fire Flicker, Pulsating, Fade on-Fade Off, Strobe and others. When you turn off and on the game, it will remember the last effect selection you chose.

The flickering eyes on the haunted forest that wozmods does looks amazing. A great upgrade to an already beautiful game.
Can the new effects generator be added to an already installed state fair ballon and haunted tree lights?
Quoted from Vyzer2:Can the new effects generator be added to an already installed state fair ballon and haunted tree lights?
Ditto, I have the eyes and state fair ballon, would love to make them flash.
I have these target stickers on mine

Just finished installing my version of the Haunted Forest last night. Each tree has 2 RGB LEDs in it, and they're run by a controller mounted in the back box. With the wireless remote I can set the trees to any colour I want, 3 colour and 7 colour chase, or random effects.
Also added an LED under the state fair balloon, additional GI lighting, super bands on all flippers, illuminated flipper buttons, and finally a new shooter rod. Not pictured, but installed, are Cliffy's and Pinnovators coin door master audio control.
Quoted from Tekman:Phantom1911:
Looking good. Great job!
Thanks Tekman. I need to give you some credit, I based my LED mount for the trees on yours. It was a tight fit, 2 LEDs and 6 resistors.
Quoted from jamesdeloris:That's a nice looking shooter rod. Where did you get that.
Thanks, I made it. It's acrylic, turned on a lathe.
I was looking through the thread with this mod. How long did it take and how would you rate the difficulty?
To add the screen, it is not difficult if you are fairly competent. It is not in kit form with everything you need, so you will have to get a power supply, double sided tape, hdmi cable, etc ..
It took me about an hour once I had everything.
Quoted from agodfrey:Anything new?
Did you see the star post mod I did for lighting the lower playfield? Really helps without costing much as all. If interested I'll post some pics of how it's wired.
I was just looking at putting together some cheap spots and led strips for lighting. Yeah. I think that would be a more elegant way to do it. Make it so!!!
Quoted from TaylorVA:Did you see the star post mod I did for lighting the lower playfield? Really helps without costing much as all. If interested I'll post some pics of how it's wired.
I'd like to see pictures and instructions on wiring!
Curious how this is holding up
Quoted from mattster:The ball lock/release arm was begging for some color so I thought I'd post a picture since I haven't seen this done yet. Very cheap and easy to do. It's yellow because that's what I had laying around the garage.
