Attached is a small video. All switches in the lower left (There’s no place like home and state fair switches) are causing the matrix to go crazy. I checked each diode (7 of them) in that area and all are fine and working. Anyone have any ideas? I’ve had diode issues before and were pretty easy to spot but this one has me stumped

Did you Call Barry or Steve ?

    LTG : )

I emailed them both. We tried to call for something unrelated with a Wonka Topper and no one answered

So after some troubleshooting, it appears to be a motherboard issue. This will be costly

The Mother board??? That seems highly unusually / unlikely. I could see it maybe being the I/O board but how the actual computer motherboard would cause these has me quite puzzled.

    It is IO board

That makes more sense, I saw this video on the repair help group on FB last night and tried to think of some way a bad diode or even two would cause this but couldn't come up with anything helpful.

We just rebuilt an IO board for a WOZ doing the same thing as you are describing. I traced the likely cause to a coil that was shorting to its frame.
Check the IO board and see if any chips look exploded that are close to the cash box. Those are your switch matrix drivers and if blown up then they have had the pleasure of 70VDC at their driver or inputs...not good for them or a few other chips. Also check the 100R resistors for the Switch Returns if any blown the that SM IC needs to be replaced too...

Also if any of those are blown you may also have issues with one or both of the Opto Switch boards under the playfield as their tiny SM transistors and diodes like to short out...
