I've seen this happen a few times but now it seems to be consistent. About half of the playfield is missing the light seen here. I looked around at all connectors and tried to trace where they go but hard to do. I have the upper playfield out right now but I don't think I touched anything that should bother the lower half of the playfield, that I know of.

Ignore the GI in the picture.. hopefully you get the idea of which lights are out.

If it was a failed board this on the earlier than 2.0 system.

This should help you track down a bad board or what you did.

Please check out page C-54 in the manual ( you can download it at jerseyjackpinball.com ) that page shows the data harness path. From W6 to #29, to #1, to #2, to #3, etc. etc.

Please go into Tests - LEDs - All LEDs, this turns any working all white. Lift playfield and lean on backbox. You can see the working ones kind of glow.

They are wired in series, a straight line. Find the last working one, the one after it that is out is the bad one. With the power on, you can by pass the data harnesses on the LED boards, bypass the bad one, and turn off in settings. ( be sure and turn it back on when you replace it ) this will help you identify a bad one.

As an example, say #15 was out. You can run the data harness from red on W2, to green on #16 instead of #15. If the rest light up, you know #15 is the bad one.

With the power on you can move data harnesses. They go red to green from board to board. Don't mess with the power connectors with the power on.

That might help you on where to start looking.

Also, if you have the castle playfield out and didn’t re-join the chain, the unplugged data cables going to and from the house break the chain at that point and the LEDs downstream of GI 12 will all be out.

Well, that sounds like it could be something Although this has happened before with the game in normal operation, I'll get the playfield back in and test.

Thanks! I'll test and sounds like I need the upper playfield in, as well.

Once I put the castle playfield in and connected all the led modules the lower part of the playfield came to life! Thanks for keeping me from going crazy.
