The LCD on the back glass of my WOZ is intermittent. It seems to always appear for the video clips, but goes on and off for the regular display. The screen will go solid black. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Check all the loose connections to and from the monitor?

Excuse my ignorance, this is a brand new machine, and I could not find help in the 300 page manual. How do you get access to the monitor?

You have a key inside the coin door that unlocks the back glass. Gently remove it from its channel and you'll expose the LCD screen, etc. Then you can make sure the connector to the screen is properly seated. You can probably follow the ribbon back down under the playfield to check that the other end is seated correctly as well.

Thanks. Is there a picture of the connections. The video cable, with the RCA type plug did work its way off. There is not much access to see where it gets connected. I have the back folded down which gives better access, but still not enough to see the receptacle for the plug. Thanks for the help.

Sounds like you should call a local pinball guy for help

Hey Capitol,

If you take the backglass off, there are 4 screws that hold the monitor in, one in each corner. Take those out, and the monitor will come free. Keep a hand on it, as it will drop when the last screw comes out. Put down a piece of cardbord on the game, and then lay the monitor flat on the upper section of the glass. There is enough room in the cables to do this (it is basically the same as folding the head, except you're just bringing down the monitor).

From this position, you can screw down the connectors on the VGA if it has come loose.

Hope this helps,

Eric

Thank you so much, I will give that a shot

That was a big help. The plug actually plugged in above the monitor, no wonder I could not see it on the monitor. Thanks for all the help. Pretty soon I will know this machine inside and out.
