Hey,
Im pretty new to the forum (hello!) so sorry for stupid questions... I just bought a ECE WoZ and there are some minor issues that I have no clue how to fix.
I updated it to code 6.x and since then I have some problems. I guess the pre-owner adjusted some things in the settings that were put back to standard now.
Crystal Ball:
Crystal ball shoots (to) hard. The ball flips out of the green rails - sometime even hits the glass.
Shall I adjust this via settings or on the playfield?
Shooting lane:
After shooting the ball so that it gets out of the lane "below" the house/twister playfield the ball gets stuck. After some shaking the ball comes back
Drop target to Castle:
If drop target is down and the ball gets behind it (not shot hard enough to get up to the castle) it gets stuck (behind the drop target that is down).
Shaking helps sometimes
Castle loop:
The switch in the castle loop stays down sometimes causing error. Its not coming back up (error 71). I tried soft bending which helped a little.. but not as fix
THANKS!!

Hi there.

For the crystal ball, yes, adjust the coil power for that VUK in the settings to lessen the power somewhat.

For the ball getting stuck under the Munchkin playfield, is it resting on the metal piece right where the the orbit and the lanes meet? If so, your ball may be getting magnetized. Try switching to carbon steel balls to see if that helps. Also try raising the pitch of the game slightly.

For the drop target, I don’t understand the problem. The target shouldn’t go back up unless the ball makes it to the VUK and sits there. Is that what is happening?

For the castle switch, it sounds like the switch is rubbing on something. You may need to keep adjusting it and may have to remove the castle playfield to get it to work. There are instructions in the manual for removing that playfield.

Wow! Thanks for the help. I was able to fix all the issues.
After playing another issue occurred
Playing like an hour almost all lights are on - and stay on. Except for the upper part of the playfield between the two mini playfields (castle, twister).
The lights stay on/solid all the time... even if I start a new game. After rebooting the machine all of the lights that were solid/on are then off.
Only the lights that were working before (between the playfields) are working as expected.
If I let the pinball rest for some time (overnight f.exp.) everything is back to normal. After some playing it happens again from time to time.
I already got the 7.5V boards.
In the screenshot I attached below you can see the situation after reboot. All lights were solid (except upper ones), rebooted, went into menu and did a all lights on test. Only the upper ones react. Rest is dark.
Is this a known issue? Any way to debug?
Thx again!!

First check all the power and data cables to the boards, especially the ones connecting to the working boards. Reseat them and make sure they are tight. If that doesn’t solve the problem, you likely have a bad board in need of replacement. There are instructions in the manual to help figure out which one and bypass it. Or, you can call JJP support or reach out to LTG here on pinside.

No problem. You’ll get it working. Given the lights that are out, it is likely either an upstream board or the cables going to or from it. The boards work in serial, so if there is an issue with one early in the series, it affects downstream boards. There is lots in this forum on those issues.

Please report back and let us know what you find.
