Don't cut the trees

Lights are not very bright. Hence not real noticeable for a lot work ! Sorry

I bought it with the balloon light flame mod. I installed the balloon light and the light controller last weekend and it looks good - adds a little extra, nothing toooo exciting. I'm going to add the tree eye lights next weekend. I bought the amber color to show up a little better. We'll see how that works out. I bought the amber color as that is a "typical" color I've seen for the tree eyes seen in cartoons (Scooby-Doo) that I made the connection with. The tree eyes are black in the WOZ movie.

I went with the green ones to break things up. One LED died soon after install. He quickly sent a new one out and has been fine after I swapped it out. As said, they're not really bright and honestly they get lost in the light show. I like the look and would still do it again however. I also got new trees and modified them and kept the originals in case I want to go back.

Those green eyes look sweet. If I ever get a WOZ I'm adding those eyes .

I made my own. I used led strips. Has 3 led's in each tree and they are bright.

I like the mod, I think it is a nice add. Like dmacy I ordered an extra set of trees, so that if I ever feel like going back original, I can. I don't think I'll ever go back, personally but maybe one day if I sold WOZ, the next owner might be a stickler for originality.

I think both green and red look great. I went with red.

I havent taken a tree off my game.....a couple of screws?
Is it large enough inside for a socket and a flasher?

I made my own as well. I used 2 RGB LEDs in each tree with the appropriate RGB controller. I mounted the controller in the backbox with the IR receiver just behind the glass. With the remote I can change it to any colour I want, or have it auto fade between colours.

Does anyone have instructions how they did their LED mod for the tree eyes?
