Thanks everyone for the quick response. JJ tech support was very helpful if you ever want to confirm any details on a game you are looking at buying.
Finally joined the club after a long search. Ended up selling a Shadow, Genie and Roller Disco and using the funds to buy the Oz. Was planning to get a Ruby Red but ended up settling for a Limited that I was able to get locally. Love the game so far! Almost tempted to buy a Hobbit.
Haven't had a chance to check the CD manual, so does anyone know an easy way to reset the high scores, etc. on the game? Thanks for your help.
Thanks very much for the assistance.
What do you use to clean the cabinet sides without damaging it? Think the previous owner liked the odd cigar.
Quoted from Pimp77:Check the monitor resolution as well...really old ones are connected via the VGA cable and have a slightly worse resolution.
Can the connection be upgraded to improve the resolution? Thanks.
To replace the bumper rubber on the top right side (under the spinning house playfield), do you have to remove the entire mini playfield? I'm thinking it may be easier to try and repair the rubber. Thanks.
I noticed the auto plunger stopped working tonight. On multi balls, balls just pile up in plunger lane. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.
Quoted from LTG:Shooter lane switch not working.
LTG : )
Thanks for the response. I will check for loose wires. Is that switch a standard part? Thank you.
Quoted from pinballinreno:The switch mounts on the tab, I circled it in the picture.
Look in the cabinet bottom for the screws and nuts that hold it on.
The black part goes between the switch body and the metal tab. Its an insulator
Thanks for your help everyone. I was able to find one screw and put it back together so it is working again. I did have a new problem occur, I kept getting a "skill shot" bonus every time a new ball would start. The skill shot bonus would increase in value with each ball. I tried loosening the screw a little and the problem seemed to go away. Is there a specific wire that controls the skill shot bonus? Seems odd this would be connected to the plunger. Thanks.
If anyone has a Ruby Red edition they are planning to sell in the near future (ideally with the new 2.0 boards), PM me. Willing to pick up when the border opens or shipping is an option as well. Thanks.
