Hey all, just joined the club. I picked up a very nice WOZ AULE with direct print cab.

When I picked it up it was still on v4.0 software and updated to the latest tonight. Only thing is that the coil settings for the items such as bumpers are now showing as "time in ms" and a value that only goes down to 20 rather than the coil strenght it did in the v4.0 code?

Also my backglass is not coming off.. no matter which way the lock is turned the glass will not budge, not even a little.. There is no signs on physical damage to the head. Any ideas on how I'd remove it?

Cheers!

Quoted from LTG:

Won't lift up ? Using the correct key hanging inside on the coin door ? Not the coin door key.
Page C4 in the manual. See if you can figure how to remove the speaker panel.
LTG : )

Yup Def using the right key, the coin door keys won't spin the lock. I'll take a look at the manual.

Should the backglass wiggle a little even when it is locked? because I can't even lift is a mm, its locked into place.

Quoted from pinballinreno:

Backglass is very tight in the slot.
Pounding with palms, striking upwards will dislosge it after many
many medium hits.
Its glass so no sharp strikes or prying.
The lock is open when the key won't come out.

Thanks mate gave it some more force and got it out, it was very tight at the bottom and the foam was compressed flat and hard. Tidied up the speaker cables which were leaving shadows on the backglass

Any answer on the Coil strength settings shows as "time in ms" rather than coil strength values on the bumpers on the latest code?

Hey brains trust! I have a weird issue where my lights seem to flicker during gameplay including GI Spots and the Topper which TBH are much more noticable that the controlled RGBs.

Any hints on where I should be looking or typical weak spots in the cables?

I do have a single GI board which goes pink next to the left lower flipper, could this be causing it?

Quoted from LTG:

Check if any of the small boards are actually touching a flipper base plate.
LTG : )

It was, then it seemed like it was going pink if it was fully screwed in, I’ve since added a rubber to prop it from the playfield and it is now intermittently showing pink instead of white..

I double checked the flickering lights and it’s all the “flashers” which are on the coil circuit which intermittently flicker. It’s hard to test them as the test mode only treats them as flashers

Hey all! My Monkey ball lock switch is toast.. no longer clicks when pressed and isn't registering the monkey dropping the ball onto the castle mini playfield.

I looked up the part number but it doesn't return any hits for the particular switch. Any tips on which switch would be a drop in replacement?

When will 2.0 lighting kits be available again?

why did they make the first 6 inserts on the YBR yellow and every single other insert clear? It never made any sense to me...

Also I and the person I bought my machine from were completely unaware that the inserts were yellow and he gave me a few $100 off because the said there were some lights which were always more yellow...

Quoted from CrashJT:

Any thoughts on this? Thank you.

I get this every now and then, the micro switches for the castle doors are quite sensitive and the return spring under the mini playfield for one of the doors can sometimes get knocked out of place and doesn't pull the door all the way in and other coils firing trigger the door switch and the game thinks theres a ball up there. A real pain in the ass to fix..

Check your doors in switch test mode and see if there is one which is just on the verge of triggering the switch when you push it. One of mine when this happens definitely doesn't feel quite right when it is meant to return to the closed position.

I can't recall which thread but I'm pretty sure there was some guidance on pinside which helped me pinpoint the spring and what you need to do to fix it.
