Woz rr has arrived now to hope it’s mint and intact

I would love a NIB RR! Are there still some out there?

#7396 1 year ago

I saw that they were making more, but I would like to keep the monkey in the machine (they may not remove it, but they may... and I'd rather be safe than sorry).... and I like the RR topper the best out of all of them.

Ditto! I almost wished I lived in Minnesota!

Thank you, and happy anniversary!

Quoted from johnnyutah:

I have been trying to join this club for the last month or so. I’ve been on the hunt for a Woz Standard NIB with 2.0 boards and think after yesterday I have exhausted all distributors in US/Canada. A few distributor websites still have listed for sale (and in stock) on their websites and after putting in your cart to purchase or inquiring through email I’ve been getting the “Sorry Out of stock” message. Bummer. I think it is safe to say that the Standard Editions are sold out everywhere despite some sites stock listings saying otherwise. If you are a distributor and reading this PM me if you have in stock.

Ditto for me - I'm trying to join the club as well. I may have to wait for the small run of Ruby Reds sometime this year that is supposedly being made. I hope the flying monkey doesn't get cut!!!

Hurry while you can! Exclusive machine for sale! link

I hope Slash delivers it personally for the $1250 shipping rate! That's a little too rich for my blood.....

I very happily joined the WOZ RR club today. The machine is a work of art and, IMHO, combines the best of old school pinball (skilled shots to targets) and state-of-the art toys. Very special thanks to the Pinsider I got it from.

PS. The thing almost did not fit in my Acadia rental! Yikes!

Mine has done that a couple of times too. Check the rubber strip at the edge where the ball drops into the trough - i angled mine towards staying in the trough rather than level and hoping it stays in there.

I'm having a lighting issue - all of the lights will go out at random times during the game and often will come back on (not including "Lights Out" mode, of course) and they also will go out while it is in attract mode. Starting a game will not bring them back on. I have a 75th Ruby Red with the 7.5v buffered boards, but I'm thinking it's a hardware (non-light board) issue rather than a non-v2.0 light board issue. Any thoughts? Or is it time for a lighting upgrade?

#8514 1 year ago

I did check everything - but there are a lot of connectors and boards. I'll check again - and thank you!

#8517 1 year ago

Thanks everyone for the advice! I checked all the connectors and gave them all a little push and everything seems okay so far. Nothing was obviously out (I checked the wires too per LTG) but all is well!

#8559 1 year ago

I didn’t know that either!!

Quick question- the “Break Down Door” light never lights during game play but operates fine in attract mode. Does the board need to be replaced?

That was a good thought. I tried that and it works on all of the lamp tests.

Quoted from Wildbill327:

Make sure to have a ball trapped by the monkey(capture Dorathy).

Yep. I did that- it still won’t light up during gameplay.

#8574 1 year ago

Ditto. I'm pretty sure it's orange and changes to green, just like the SEARCH light on the same pf.

#8576 1 year ago

I have the new code ready to install (I think I'm running 6.61). It was working fine but quit a couple days ago.

#8578 1 year ago

I’ve done that too- and I’ve also updated the software to 7.02. Still no light.

#8580 1 year ago

I know it’s strange, but it doesn’t do anything during game play. I’ve cheated and done everything I can with the glass off and nothing happens. But it lights white under the lamp tests and operates fine during attract mode.

Are there any other electronic/electrical parts will be unobtanium in the future that are reasonably "available" today?

My WOZ Cowardly Lion light board (W3) died and went to that great arcade in the sky tonight. I've got a bunch of other expenses at the time, so the 2.0 upgrade is not in my near future. PM me if you upgraded and have a board to sell.

Try reseating the memory card and/or the 6 pin cable on the little TV behind the crystal ball a few times. Maybe the contacts on the card are a little dirty.

Quoted from Oneangrymo:

Ive owned a RR WOZ for about one year, and never really played it because of sound issues. But now that Im playing it more and more, what a absolutely amazing game. I love it. I dont know what is going on half the time, especially with some of those crazy multiballs, but its fantastic. The sound on JJP is just crazy good, they are just really really fun games, and immersive. Can't wait to see what the next JJP game looks like.

I enjoy the game too and think its a brilliant design! Look in your manual or get the ruleset from and read through it - it helped me immensely to figure out what was going on.

Pull the board out and check the 8 legs of the IC on there. I had one board that had a solder blob that shorted out 2 of the legs - I removed the blob and it was fine.
