I noticed this weekend that my winkie target wasn't working.
Upon lifting the playfield I saw that it was busted. After replacing the drop target I saw that there was an error message re: winkie and the drop target doesn't pop up. (see pic)
Using the switch test I confirmed that when down the switch was on and when up the switch was off.
Also was able to raise (C20) and lower (C49) the drop target via the coil test menu. To me I am thinking ok the error message should now go away and the target should return to normal.
But no luck. Still have error message and drop target is non-functional. Cycled the power, waited overnight, repeated switch and coil tests and all is peachy but still no joy. Is there a 'reset' that I need to hit for the machine to start trying the drop target again? What am I missing?

Added today: UPDATE:
I figured out that this issue is a software bug. If I do a partial factory reset the issue goes away and when I reinstall the settings backup I made, it comes back.
Pretty strange that this would be something that is part of the settings backup.
