Quoted from mountaingamer:

Yep - JJPs always been fantastic to customers. Jumper around and disable your bad board, and enjoy the amazing game!

I have only accomplished that (killing the witch) once in the 2 years I’ve owned this thing. I was also jumping up and down and waving my arms around - like some kind of little crazy kid. How fun!!!!

#6285 5 years ago

Mine is also right about 6.3. Plays really nice there. Front legs way down and backs way up too. The pics look very similar to my set up.

Echo bobukcat. Completion of Mulitiballs is the difficulty with regard to gems. Especially rescue. I’ve seen that bright red arrow a few times but unfortunately drained before castle doors opened. Keep working at it! Still SUPER fun!

LTG! You are a true pleasure to work with! We appreciate you!!!

Quoted from mjfisher:

Just joined the club on Monday with a ECLE (OZ Rescue Edition). What a great game. Managed to somehow stack a bunch of multiballs and melt the witch. What a rush
[quoted image]

@mjfisher, you just joined! Melted the witch AND stacked multiballs, and racked up 1.7 mil?! We want you to stick around the club for a while...

Quoted from Oneangrymo:

I just tried an external sub since I had one laying around. Wow.. amazing! Its so awesome.. love it. I wish all pins had an external out connector like WOZ has. That should just be an automatic.

Curious how you went about hooking to the external sub? I have one sitting around that came from a previous auto. It’s 12” and powerful. Not sure it could be pushed at all or might need an amplifier.

#7526 4 years ago
Quoted from harryhoudini:

There is an AUX out on the back of the machine.

Yes. I just meant what cables used and did he need an amp or directly to the sub worked, etc...

#7530 4 years ago
Quoted from Oneangrymo:

I just used a 3mm headphone like cord, to rca white and red to the back of the R/L input on the sub. I think it sounds awesome now. Wish didn't have to use external sub, not sure if something wrong with my internal sub, but it sounds freaking amazing. JJP makes awesome pins.

So I tried this and I think I just have too big of a subwoofer. Couldn’t push any noticeable sound out of it.

#7532 4 years ago

Negative Ghostrider. Just a 12” in a box left over from an auto.

#7535 4 years ago
Quoted from f3honda4me:

External sub with no amp is going to do nothing.
Get the PinWoofer kit.

Well. Was hoping Oneangrymo had similar equipment to mine but sounds like his sub is powered. Will need to procure additional equipment (and knowledge). Thanks!

Quoted from PinJim:

Anyone else got theirs working better than 50%?

I’ve been following your witch switch problem. Saying to myself, “yeah, That was the same with mine” the whole time. My witch switch didn’t work well for a while, 6 months or so, and I didn’t look into it. Just put up with it and added it to the list of pinball “things to do”. Then a more important audio problem occurred and was traced to output from the motherboard that I subsequently had to replace. After replacement and full game reset, I haven’t had the issue with the witch switch. It plays 100% now. I know it doesn’t specifically help and it’s weird, but that’s what happened to me, FWIW.

#7777 4 years ago
Quoted from PinJim:

Odd. Did you change software versions at the same time?

I’m Still running 6.61. But the factory reset re-installed an earlier version and I had to re-upgrade to 6.61. Still no issues with witch switch since then.

Quoted from Pinkitten:

I still own it, and have put about 700 plays on it without incident. I have been fortunate, as I know this is a common problem

This describes my situation as well.

Quoted from JohnnyPinball007:

, is this game so awesome that I just have to try to buy one myself,

In short and IMHO, yes. I would say though that it would help to love the theme. The game is all that much more special b/c our entire family loves the theme. Even if you only like the theme, WOZ offers so much of an entire package and if you’re only a mediocre player like me, it will take months, possibly even years to make your way through the game. I take a break from her now and then, but I would say I don’t ever get bored playing WOZ.

Y’all probably know this already, but on the off chance ya don’t, as I didn’t, this little post sure does make it easier to get rescue multi-ball. Now I’m battling the witch all the time. Previously prevented by rescue multiball. I didn’t even know this option was available until I started putting Cliffys on this thing.

Quoted from Rager170:

Sorry but I am no fan of changing the game to make it easier to me. Be sure to mention that if you are posting any scores as that is not how the game is intended to be played.

It’s intended to be played for fun... I’ll be sure to post all me settings with my scores just as long as you be sure to post all your settings, along with a disclaimer that you only play the game the “way it was meant to be played” and that you are a true pinball purest.

#8481 4 years ago
Quoted from Rager170:

Sorry, fun to me isnt making it easier to run through the game.

I see you are new to this machine and to this thread. I also see that you’ve received a lot help/support from the excellent people here. If you are looking to be the fun police, maybe you should think of going somewhere else. Here, people are really kind and helpful. We get excited about our WOZ machines, and share with one another in a positive way.

#8483 4 years ago
Quoted from Rager170:

I am a score player. I like to see how I compare to others out there.

Talk about sensitivity. Sheesh. You are ultra sensitive. Policing others’ posts so that you make sure your score comparisons don’t become tainted at some point in the future. I mentioned nothing about scores. I don’t post scores. Simply pointed out a piece of the game that was fun to me, thought I’d share with y’all, and here you are, the fun police, the score police.

WOZ is a fun game! It has rainbows on it! Lighten up Francis.

#8485 4 years ago
Quoted from Rager170:

Lol, ok mr. sensitive. Time to grow some pinballs...

Wow. Maybe you know. Maybe not. But you are becoming a troll. The others here may wish to stay tuned to find out but not me. My first pinsider ignored.

Quoted from PinMonk:

The important differences are:
Emerald - sparkly green color scheme, has flying monkey, LE has topper, all original castle doors, 1.0 (bad) lighting system
Ruby Red - sparkly red color scheme, has flying monkey, all original castle doors, different topper, EARLY ones have 1.0, most of them have superior 2.0 lighting system
YBR - sparkly yellow color scheme, different topper, no flying monkey, one less castle door, 2.0 lighting system, headphone jack moved to cab at your knees instead of on coin door.
I still think the ECLE with the 2.0 lighting system is the best version. Add the flying sculpted monkey and you have the best of all worlds.

Thanks for this write up!

Quoted from adol75:

I praised the reliability of my light boards so well that I jinxed myself
I’ll deal with it but let’s face it, I hate you ThepinballCompany.com , I hate you so much that I don’t even know where to start !
[quoted image]

I did the same thing. Right after I posted on here that mine (7.5v system) were fine, boom, out. 2.0 kit fixed everything. Wasn’t really that bad. And I learned a lot during the install. Just time consuming. If you do the 2.0 system, like everyone says, just follow the well-written directions and use common sense and it’ll turn out fine.

Quoted from adol75:

And in the end, although I’m not done it’s surely the best pinball maintenance bootcamp I’ve ever been through

I agree with this sentiment. Having been through this ordeal, it was a fantastic learning experience.

Quoted from delt31:

Just reading your updates I'm shaking my head saying wow jjp wtf. Who wants to spend time on this. Such a shame

I can also see Delt’s point here. It was very time consuming. I guess if anyone reading this is still on the fence about doing the project, just know it’ll take a lot of time (if you’ve not tackled something like this before. Something like a week of after work hours and an entire weekend) and patience. In the end, you get a machine that works without issues and the pride of having accomplished a fairly daunting task (for those of us non-technical people).

Quoted from 27dnast:

I’m in the middle of installing 2.0 right now... I know a lot of folks say the GI lighting is way dimmer with 2.0 kit. Just an observation (and I know nothing about LED tech), but it sure looks like the LED surface mounts are a lot smaller on the 2.0 boards than the old 7.5 boards.
Could it just be a case of the new LEDs having less light output capability (and not a software issue)?
New on left...

That being said, I did order Pinstadiums today. Hope to remember to update you all. I like to play my games in a dark room and WoZ is just a little too dark for me. Going to give the pinstadiums a try. I know expensive compared to other options. But I thought the ability to change background colors is fun/useful and will provide multiple different experiences...

#9345 4 years ago

I worked an extra couple of shifts - had a little $$ to spare and decided to go all out on Pinstadiums for the post 2.0 upgrade WoZ lighting issue. Boy am I not disappointed. delt31 was right - these things are amazing. It has totally rejuvenated my love for this game! Wife actually said, “wow, now that I can see it, I’m gonna get some mods from the mod couple.” (That’s a big deal here). Anyway, super happy with the new and improved. Definitely worth the upgrade.

Pic 1. Pinstadium off
Pic2. PinStadium with white on, brightness low
Pic 3. Pinstadiums on full white and bright (too bright for me)

Hi Lermods, could you explain more what you mean by this? PM me if want to. Oh, and the mushroom land mod on Wonka is a nice addition! Thanks.

This is what the living room looks like when there are multiple projects occurring at the same time including installing a PinWoofer and decorating the Christmas tree.

WoZ is coming along beautifully. 2.0 lights and PinStadiums are huge for the eye appeal and the audio now matches. Only thing to caution would be placement of the new 2.0 lighting power box - it didn’t allow for the larger sized speaker that came with the PinWoofer kit so had to move the box.

Now, both WoZ and JJPOTC are running PinWoofer audio and sound amazing. Shout out to Dan for assisting me on the weekend. Appreciate!

just got WOZ ECLE. this game rocks. I really enjoy it. happy to join the club.

Congrats! yeah, the game is great with the kiddos. been slowly dialing mine in for 3 years now and it actually keeps getting better and better. Not bored yet and neither are the kids - although they are more attracted to Wonka right now b/c it's the new one in our household. Have fun!

Quoted from Doctor6:

like getting horses.

Agree! This side aspect is sometimes the reason for play. Same with the other goals as mentioned. So many game games in 1. When choosing which machine to play for the evening, WoZ gets a few different considerations!...
