I didn’t know there were two different versions. I like the sound of the flickering one, but would be interested in both at this point.

Looks like this (from wozmods.com, I think the original creator of this idea):

Thanks for the link. I didn’t see it on the site. Maybe they no longer make it? Hmmmm maybe I will email them.

It's there. It's in a combo pack with the Twister mod (they both share the same controller to create the flickering effects).

Looking for a flying monkey mod if anyone is thinking of parting ways with theirs...or has one they never installed. Expecting to pay a price for it, I know...send me a PM.

Thanks!

I mentioned this a few posts up, but there is a guy selling a TON of WOZ mods on eBay...for cheap. Including the flickering light hot air balloon.

Check w/ Wozmods, when i contacted them they said our little trade war w/ China prevented him from being able to supply the control module. I was looking for the flickering tree eyes setup.

Since you mentioned photos and I had the glass off today, I took a few more of the OZ lanes mod and changed the settings to a higher quality.

Enjoy!

When I have them installed in my machine, I will happily take photos and post them!

I really like the hand made mods. They have a personal touch to them that makes them nicer.

I am just getting back into the pinball game and I just purchased RRWOZ # 1445, but I see that some of the RRWOZ's do not appear to have a number assigned to them?? Was there a different run of RRWOZ's that were not numbered?

Thanks,

Thanks,

I bought mine nib, #42 in 2014. These were supposed to be limited to 1500. They have been selling them since. They are still selling right now, nib. Pretty disappointed on that. I do love mine, though.

Hi, I just bought a WOZ RR and looking forward to being a part of the WOZ community. Wondering about side blades...does anyone have pics of mirrors or art on their WOZ....

Thanks,

They all have a number. My sticker with the number was not installed when I received it and I have yet to install it. I believe this is the same with with other owners.

I do not believe JJP has sold all of the RR’s and they are not sold in number sequence from what I can tell. My guess is that they have more to sell and will build some when they have time in between other builds. It helps fill a gap between newer machines.

And not building them in the number sequence keeps buyers from knowing how many are left to be manufactured.

Yeah, they were not selling them in number order and you could request any number up to 1500 if it wasn't taken yet. From what I understand, they still have not sold all 1500 and are just filling in the gaps at this point when they make them again. I bought game number 915 for my wife since her birthday is Sept 15th. They had built no where near that many when I got that number.

Ok that makes sense since mine is #1445 and was built in Feb 2017.

Mine came directly from JJP with these ones, I think that those are the same from Pingraffix... very Nice Art in my POV

Ohhhhh. Yellow brick road has wood apron as well - nice looking game there.

Question - my game came with factory applied Mylar over the center of the playfiled that is starting to lift At certain edges and has some slight bubbling in the witches hat. Anyone ever remove their Mylar? I have read the multiple threads and YouTube videos of removing playfield Mylar but all examples have been with Mylar that’s 30 years old.

If so, How did that go?

Last thing I want to do is lift a YBR insert or take some clear with it.

Interesting.. im pretty sure mine does not have this mylar there. Ive used a heat gun to heat it up and pull it off. Just be careful of doing it over inserts..

I'd do the freeze spray method before heat gun. Safer.

#9677 4 years ago

Very nice....Thanks Rolls-Royce!

#9678 4 years ago

Safer does not exactly equal safe - Hahahaha. I think just leaving it on is my best bet as it’s still protecting the playfiled and I get very few, if any, ball deflection from it. The rollover targets cause more than that does and the only real issue is my OCD when I look at it and I am not playing.

Thanks all - and if that cowardly lion ever shares some of that courage with me - I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes.

What do you use to freeze?

#9680 4 years ago
Quoted from Rager170:

What do you use to freeze?

inverted cans of dust-off spray air.

Its works amazing. Simple and effective once you get the feel for it.

Zero damage to the playfield if its intact.

Basically you seperate the mylar from the glue.

Residual glue is easily removed with rapid prep adhesive remover in 2 minutes.

Thought it might be that with the upside down dust off stuff.

Finding it without bitterant is the only hard part these days. DO NOT try this indoors or in a garage with compressed air that has bitterant. Voice of experience.

Chemical added to something to make it smell bad.

Probably to stop the huffers.

Probably doesn't slow them down either.

Some things like contact cement have vomit inducers for this reason. Really great for people that use it for valid reasons.

Like Lloyd said, it's an additive they put in the compressed air cans now (that's not legally required, even) as a misguided attempt to stop huffing. Problem is, the addicts don't really care, but now dusters leave residue (the additive) and if you spray a lot at once to do something like the freeze spray method indoors or in an enclosed area outside, it will get in your nose and mouth and you will have a bitter taste for DAYS. It's terrible. About 80% of the compressed air out there has it now, by my estimation (at least around here).

Very interesting.. And I agree, people wanting to huff stuff arent going to be deterred by that most likely.

Is that why huffers go for whipped cream cans ? I see a lot of kids out here that have a sudden passion for whipped cream !

Whipits are fairly safe. Air dusters are toxic and huffing them literally can kill you. Very different.

Same with cooking non stick spray, seals the lungs, can't breathe.

Anyone ever get their ball stuck here? I typically wait for search mode to kick in and then the shaker motor vibrates it free - but if anyone else had this problem and knows something to try, I'm open to suggestions because it happens practically every time I'm at the witch's castle.

It just looks like the wall is too low. I don't have that version, so I'm not sure how it connects, but can you put some washers where it mounts to raise it up 1-2mm? That'd probably be enough...

Quoted from rennervision:

Raise the castle wall. Bend the metal brackets behind the wall up a bit. Lift playfield up and pull out and rest on front of cabinet so you can see behind there and figure what needs to be done.

A small piece of weather stripping also works well to lift the castle wall just enough. That’s what I’ve used.

Anyone making a munchkin house mod or another monkey mod?

#9700 4 years ago
Quoted from Daditude:

Anyone making a munchkin house mod or another monkey mod?

Someone was recently selling the monkey mod for not much more than it cost. That's probably your best shot at it, since steve is going back to witch mods once he's shipped all the monkeys and likely won't be getting back to more monkeys anytime soon.
