Quoted from Pinchroma:This is a true statement. But then again switching from Windows to Mac IS a good choice
Heh, I've been shopping for a new Ultrabook the past month or so, and I just can't find something I like - there's always some major catch, or they're just too expensive for what you get (ie. Fujitsu U904, Asus Zenbook Infinity).
So then the MacBook Pro 13 Retina comes out this week... and danged if it isn't a halfway good price for the specs, and I can get it in Canada with a proper English keyboard. In Canada we're almost always stuck with stupid bilingual keyboards that completely change the placement of the ENTER key and the LEFT SHIFT key, meaning I would have to order from the US which gets tricky regarding returns, warranty, and many lines are region protected so they can't even ship outside the US, adding the expense of a forwarder. I can get the proper US keyboard when custom ordering from Fujitsu and Sony, but Lenovo only lets you change it on Thinkpads, and Dell recently stopped offering it altogether.
I was introduced to Microsoft PCs in 1988 and have never owned anything from Apple in my life. Well, until I broke down a while ago and bought an iPhone 4S. And now... I'm in the confusing position of seriously considering getting one of these. Granted, I will also install Windows... but still...
