What is the best way to access this micro-switch on the upper left castle playfield. Does the upper left playfield have to be removed or is it possible to remove the switch from the bracket which looks to be possible, but replacing the switch maybe rather difficult?

If you pull the playfield up just a little bit you can see the switch on the end of the playfield. I had an issue with mine where one of the screws came off. It had dropped the ball in the wrong place. This is super easy to get to and replace.

Thank you for your response. While I could see the switch, I had concerns that there were tiny little nuts associated with mounting the switch that were not accessible.

I removed the switch, checked it with a meter and found that it isn't working and will need to be replaced. Sadly less than 100 plays on the machine.

I tested the switch with the wiring attached and it definitely wasn't working. I de-soldered the switch and then found it was now working. Apparently heat from the soldering iron convinced the switch to work once again. Re-installed. Required adjustment for the switch to work smoothly. Odd, I didn't bend anything with removal but that's pinball. Switch no working in the machine.

Perhaps just a bad solder joint that required redoing.
