agree, looks good

#3 12 years ago

looks good.Is it going to be black and white?

#4 12 years ago

it will be in full colour. pinball news has a bit more info. can't wait for the finished product.

Ok, How can there be a back glass if the back glass is an LCD display? When the game is turned off is the back glass just blank?

I'm confused

Looks like the picture is the LCD screen.

See Stern-
That is how you do it!
Saturday morning e-mail surprise to start your day!
Thanks JJ!

Updates... That is all we are asking for STERN...
Stop trying to "cliff-hang" us before every commercial!
It gets O-L-D Gary, really, really old...

Edit: I am obviously as well...

I can't read this early, with 2AM cocktails still sloshing around...

From email....
The artwork that is traditionally static as a backglass image will be displayed on a 26" commercial LCD monitor in the backbox. Certain treatments of that artwork will be shown at different times and in different ways on the LCD and this will enhance the attract mode of the game.

Quoted from NimblePin:

I'm guessing that the image will be on top of the LCD...

Check out pinball news for more info! This is fantastic!!

Scooter, I think so. A color one will come soon. I can dig it!

#12 12 years ago

I got the e-mail scooter... Thanks for the save!
I guess I was thinking 4+4= Jello...

Well-
Hopefully we will see something around the LCD as well then.
I don't want just a golden WOZ on the backglass.
That is almost half of the BG "Real Estate" to be left out.
When my machine is off I still want something to ogle!
Blank LCD screen(s) make my penis soft...

Really nice design and i think Woz is going to be a Huge success.

#14 12 years ago

maybe i'm confused. i thought that jersey jack was releasing this WOZ late 2011 because of the NEW Wizard of Oz movie that is being released? why would the backglass have the old movie theme then? thanks

#15 12 years ago

I don't think it was ever said it was for the New movie. It all ties together though.

#16 12 years ago

i've heard from a friend (that has preordered WOZ) that the pin is to be released around the New movie release date (christmas or fall?). that's just what he said, and he's paying 6500 for this machine...lol so i hope he has his facts straight.

I don't know about the movie tie-in but the animated color LCD sequences I have for different modes look awesome. I'm sure they are prototypes that may or may not make it into the final machine code. Many thanks to my inside guy for them like the schematics/layouts early on. Also many thanks to those here whom I shared those with eventually and have not posted them here or on any other forum. Nice integrity pinsiders !! Another reason this is the BEST pinball forum on the net.

There aren't words to properly express the feelings I have for those on Pinside who are so helpful and nice and fun to deal with. Thanks for putting up with me too ... I hope to be here as long as I can. It's my other form of "therapy".

Many of us have put down deposits and made payments. JJ is hoping to have game delivery by Christmas. I will be happy to get it when it is completely done and worth the wait. No rushing needed.

I agree but I'm afraid it's going to be more like spring 2012. I just don't see how they're going to get it done any sooner. I hope they do. But I'd rather wait and have it done right. The schedule calls for production to begin mid December. So by Christmas they may have 20 machines done. That's just my guess. They just bought the building. They've got a lot of work to do in the next 6 months.
I doubt any will be shipped before Christmas. Thats assuming they got all thier new employees trained well enough by then to start production on time. If just one part is missing ...there is no production. My # is 335 so I'll be expecting mine around this time next year. Thats what I'm hoping for and I'm ok with that....just do it right. If it comes sooner and it's done right....great.

agreed, i'm just excited (as others are) that Stern now has some competition. they'll have to step their game up, no more avatars! lol

An OK sample,Still not what I can really base an opinion on,When we see something completed by Jerry Vanderstelt and Greg Freres is when I really think we will get a feel for the direction of the game and it's theme/darkness.
