I thought JJ's point was that he didn't initially contract with a supplier who didn't seem to have some legitimacy, as even Spooky used them. So it was reasonable to expect good playfields from them initially. When they didn't deliver enough good playfields, JJP went with Mirco. Not bashing Spooky, only saying he was in good company in using them.
But that was just my take on it. Just saying his comments could be interpreted in an alternative and inoffensive way.
Perhaps Jack can clarify himself.
