Yellow brick faceplant.

#5 10 years ago

There's no place like "d'oh!"

#6 10 years ago

Apologies. I just love WOZ and am excited for the next code.

#7 10 years ago

I thought the next code date was actually out, lol. With 1.18 being the latest update I would think that the next will be around 1.2. We are definitely about due for an update considering that one has been coming out each month.

#8 10 years ago

I heard 1.2 is coming soonish.

2.0 already? Each update has been 1.1 then 1.14, 1.18 for the past 5 months. Sounds like a big update with new modes may be imminent.

Haha, ok that makes sense. Based on what I read else where the next update is coming soon and will be a big one.

Hopefully "big one" means modes, modes, modes!

Wow! I almost didn't post "Wow!"

It seems they are not updating their software twitter page, 1.18 still hasn't been announced on there yet.

#21 10 years ago

Do you know if the code is for this week?
NORMALLY, it should be version "delta"

#22 10 years ago

Hey, they will probably be at 5.0 before they are through with the LEs

#23 10 years ago
Quoted from zr11990:

2.0 will most likely be a final version

#24 10 years ago

if 2.00 is the final version, then it will have how many months?
Because the code runs 0.2 (and we are 1.18)
No other information?

what makes you say this?

May 2014,unless they have a lot more code done than has been released which is likely. So with that in mind maybe before the end of the year.Would be a nice Christmas present!

Your original post: 11 thumbs down, ZERO thumbs up. My response: ZERO thumbs down, 3 thumbs up. There's a clue in there somewhere. Get it.

You are banned from posting till you post a picture of your Balzac. Sorry, rules are rules and we can't make exceptions for 3 legged vacuum cleaner salesmen.

This week, Stern has released images of star trek.
Maybe JJP will release the new code as woz this week?

#31 10 years ago

I hope! I doubt JJP will release the next code revision just because ST images have been released. The last I heard though, on Sept 6th, is that the next code update is coming soon and that it will be a huge update.

#32 10 years ago

I also think that the output of the code does not depend on star trek.
But I think that this may be a great week for pinball in general.
If alex had information about the output of the code,,,,

Congratulations!

Well that is amazing!! Still, Im not the one making Hitler jokes. Thank Goodness. But get back into the kitchen. Your schnitzel is burning.

IMHO we will see a new code update in time for EXPO. It would be good timing.

I'm thinking the same thing. Sounds like Balcer wasn't too keen on revealing any more Hobbit details so they might have decided to hold onto this update so they have something substantial to reveal at Expo.

#38 10 years ago

What is the date of the EXPO?

over a month away? boo-hoo. I need some modes to play.

#40 10 years ago

The expo is in a month?
I thought the code output was very soon?
Very soon for me, it's a few days, not months (lol)

#41 10 years ago

I would think by the time the expo comes around that there would another code update announced beyond the one said to be coming soon with one update coming out on average per month. Fingers crossed we may hear something soon.

#42 10 years ago

Alex, JJP, Keith,,,,,,
A release date please, we are all waiting (lol)

#43 10 years ago

+1

#44 10 years ago

It's tough not to get negative with the waiting.

I was able to run a couple of games on the newest code at Abel Electronics yesterday. It has come along way but still seems to have a long way to go which means that the game will really be pretty awesome.

The Rescue Toto mode was really cool. Also, the new animations are just spectacular.

I was bummed about ST and pulled my deposit. Playing WOZ yesterday got me real excited about NIB machines again.

Me, too. I put money down to reserve a spot in early spring and then budgeted all year to buy a ST. It isn't that I don't think it might be fun, but the layout is just too similar to my STTNG to justify owning both in a small collection. I guess if I had 40 pins and almost unlimited resources. Anyway, I will play one someday and, if I really love it, will sell the STTNG to help finance the purchase. Again, I just can't see owning both.

As it happened, a WOZ-LE became available the same day as the ST video appeared, so I bought it instead. It is very different from anything else I own, and the looks and build quality are in a class by themselves. I am just starting to learn to play it, however, and so posted a request in another thread for instructions. Has anyone written something up about game strategy, or is there no point since it would need revision every few weeks?

I think it's almost pointless to write up a current rule set. The game as it is now will not be anywhere near the game it will be... not even what it will be when the next code update comes out. Right now it is not mode based but scoring based. Enjoy it the way it is and rack up the scores
