Gotta say, I kind of agree....just to convey another point of view, though nothing justifies what he did. However, if you were really interested you probably should have just agreed when the price was close. Most people that handle it the way you did don't end up buying, it is just a waste of the sellers time. In this case he was wrong, but usually he would not have been. But running you around town was completely inexcuseable. He should have just declined and left it at that. Sorry if some of you disagree....just trying to explain his possible frame of mind, not excusing him.
