Howmuch you sellin for?

#9 6 years ago

Noice!!

#10 6 years ago

Wow! I love that game. Zero to no chance of finding one in Australia in that condition.

Great pick up and thank you for sharing.

#11 6 years ago

Gotta love those scores! Keep it!!
Sold why too many prestige originals I wish I would have held onto.

I'm hoping for some honest advice here.
I've sold a lot of dmd games and price them accordingly but I'm not quite sure how to price this one. Ive never had any early SS state restored in this type of condition.
What does something like this command?

#13 6 years ago

I ‘d say $3,000 at minimum.

#14 6 years ago

Took a closure look at front/coin door area of it. Does it have touch ups? Yellows/gold area looks to have multiple touch ups but could be camera.

#15 6 years ago

Looks beautiful. I'll take it!

#16 6 years ago

Boy is that in nice shape. The inside of the cabinet is amazingly clean. Great find.

#17 6 years ago

Looks great buddy! Did you score that locally? No idea what it's worth but I think it's safe to say it is at the upper end of the spectrum.

Bought mine for $2400 last year. Mine is in perfect playing condition, but yours is much better cosmetically.

I'd keep it for a while. It's a very fun and addicting game.

honestly, the easiest way to know market is to say how much you bought it for if you just picked it up...

As far as attempting to get a valuation accurately, we need a bit more info and better photos.
From what I can see, this is more a refurbish than a restoration.

It appears to be a playfield swap and new parts on the topside with no real attention to the bottom side. What is the playfield? Overlay or NOS or CPR (what level)? Any additional clear coat and by who?

The cabinent appears to have been a nice starting point but from what I see in the photos the cabinent job is average and appears no real prep work was done before doing the stencil kit.

Boards are original but no attention to them and appears MPU has some previous battery damage
Displays are original > any bad sections? or all segments bright and crisp?
Just a coin door swap back into cab and no real attention to it?

Nice overal refurbish of a great game but not a restoration in my book.

From what I see currently I see:
base game $1250
Overlay pf? $400
new topside parts $400
Cabinent paint and Stencil kit $400

You have $2500 in parts easy, plus the labor of someone that did this.

I would price it at $3500 and probably sell for a bit less, but again I would want to really see it in person if I were the buyer.

Some detail was done under the playfield. It looks to have lots of new parts and all new coils.

Really?
Show me more and I'll buy them all

There have been two close or far under that price here on pinside within the last year. A project/restore candidate is worth what in your opinion, (to buy, not resell)

bought one 6 months ago and passed on 2 others around the same time.

lipstick on the underside. Just a quick glance and it appears only the lower flipeprs were rebuilt. Upper is dirty/oringinal. Not much cleaned if they rebuilt stuff > pops are super dirty.

Playfield I assume is an overlay? Can you confirm?

I'm looking for an Eight Ball Deluxe if you are selling.

#27 6 years ago

Looks as nice as my Elektra. To me, you have to sell it for at least what it would cost you to buy another one in that condition. I mean, if you find a Centaur or Fathom in that condition, it will sell for well over 5K. I would use that as a comparison. Generally speaking, an EBD that flips and isn't destroyed is worth at least 1500.

7000 [Fathom like that] / 3500 [base Fathom] = x [that EBD] / 1500 [base EBD]

3500x = 10500000

x [that EBD] = 3000

Ten million five-hundred thousand by Christmas!

#28 6 years ago

I've redone all the head graphics if someone needs them for a restore

#29 6 years ago

So you just bought it and now selling it? Sounds like the seller left Way to much meat on the bone for you.
That looks like a repro playfield. Original ones have primer gray on the back.
