Suggesting that his Barry O game could have such a limited run that it will skyrocket in value…. Then saying that as a manufacturer, he wouldn’t go back and re-run a limited title that becomes hot because he wouldn’t want to screw over the collectors.

First off, to any newbies out there, don’t fall for that nonsense. Ridiculous

Second, I can’t believe this guy is straight up suggesting these machines are investments. Just terrible - terrible!! - advice. Total nonsense.

I don’t buy it. Americans Most Haunted is a super limited run and it’s not skyrocketing like BBB as an example.

Avatar LE only 250 games XMLE only 550 no premium they’re not skyrocketing.

Can you post a link please to this podcast I can’t find it.

I thought the whole premise of doing a non-licensed theme is that they can make as many as they want, whenever they want, for as long as they want?
So this game is limited by poor sales and they won't make any more if there becomes a demand for them?
Very odd behavior for a pinball manufacturer.

It’s the stache. Always the stache.

At one point he basically says that they want to only make limited runs….

He’s just talking in circles

If he stays at the Head of American Pinball they will only continue to make limited runs! Not limited because they want to but limited because nobody else wants them.

I just can't believe he's still in charge. Soon hes going to say his games aren't for the hobbyists like that Homepin guy.

I was thinking the same.

His spin in crap sales isn’t a good one, that’s for sure.

He should just change his last name to Nix...because that's where this company is headed under him.

#13 89 days ago

He's the guy GWJ was taking advice from. Hmmm.

Maybe Nr. Fix should invite the "pinball media" over to the factory and give them a night out on the town like Stern did after the Wick debacle, so people only say nice things about him and the company in the future.

Wow, I just listened to it and he’s either the biggest liar of all time, or really believes that garbage. So by that rationale, Celts is going to be around $25,000 since the run is even more limited.

First of all, we know how many big bang bars were manufactured. We’ll never know how many Barbecues have been made, because they won’t release the numbers.

A year or two ago I would’ve gone straight to the link of Fix’s interview to learn the latest about AP. I was an instant fan of the company after buying Houdini (love the theme). But their decisions and Fix’s very obvious false claims have really shattered my excitement over the company…so much so that I recently traded away both my AP games (Houdini and LOV) out of fear that the company won’t be around in the near future should I need parts or repairs. That’s a real shame because I’m the type of supporter who usually goes “all in”. The bottom line as I see it is this: if AP doesn’t get some better decision makers in there (and pick worthwhile themes), they won’t be in business much longer.

TBH, its shocking they are still in business. I too had high hopes, but those have been dashed

Based on the fact that he’s spewing this nonsense in the same breath as Barry O’s BBQ… it’s safe to say that sales are not good.

I own Houdini… love it. Once dialed in, it’s a spectacular game, IMO. I’m fairly confident it can be repaired if AP were to terminate its pinball division. At least its boards are somewhat repairable.

He is the George Costanza of pinball.

I agree with you about how good Houdini is. Unfortunately the people who made that game have been let go or left the company, which explains a lot about the deterioration of the company.

I see a Houdini for $5400

Yeah. The prices on all AP games seem to be dropping at a faster rate than games from more stable companies.

#23 88 days ago

I know this is far from a hot take, but Fix is a buffoon.

Why AP continues to pay him astounds me.

#24 88 days ago

He really shouldn't do interviews and add fuel to the fire. Hire someone that can do interviews well.

Economy of words would go a long way.
