* Huge crowds that year for the race. Gryszzz and I went. Just bought infield tickets.

* If you were bad and got in trouble, then you would get put in time-out area.

* Mostly hung out around turns 3 & 4. Chatted with a couple ladies that were basketball players.

I was in Indiana in mid May earlier this month, but schedule didn't work out for me to go to the race this year, nor to watch it on tv.

Gryszzz and I went last year and the yr before. My daughter joined us last year to check it out.

May 2017, 101st running of the Indy 500. Had good weather and a huge crowd, but not quite as big as for the yr before.

There had been a lot of green flag fast racing goin on though at least 170+ of 248 laps on this 1.5 mile fairly high banked fast track.
I guessed right that a mental mistake was gonna be made with all that continuous intense action. Two cars just got into each other and are both damaged and out of the race. Wickens and Carpenter I believe.

I mean like with the flagging on the lot on the hill, and the neighbors crappy music, and the neighbors sometimes complaining when u play kick-ass rock slightly after quiet time, and, well you prolly know other incidents u could share with us.

I will help u throw a party whenever u think the time is right. We can invite friends and the cool neighbors and give a polite heads up to the other neighbors.

Tx race update: there is a canadian driver in 4th place, 17 laps to go

New Zealand driver Scott Dixon won the Tx Indy car race. He's won there before. He's won Indycar championships. When he's got a good car and the pit crew is on, then he is money, or as Gryszzz might say, he is clutch.

I guess I'm not gonna make it up to Indiana for Memorial Day weekend.

I hope to drive up to Indiana probably in July to visit family & friends, and figure out some fun stuff to do.

This year's Indy 500 new date is now Sun Aug 23, 2020, and NBC will air the race.

They hope to run the St. Pete race later in the season (Oct date tbd). The St. Pete race was to be the season opener as usual, but has been postponed (or canceled if things don't work out) I believe.

We will just have to watch Indy 500 race on tv this yr. Decision was made to not let fans attend the race this yr due to covid19.

1st time in 33 yrs that an Andretti has the pole position.
Will a rookie driver cause a wreck this yr?
Will Marco screw things up again, or will he contend for a win?
Will Alonso have a fast car and be able to contend at the end?
Will Helio get his 4th win?

Sato won and got $1.37M check and a new corvette similar to the pace car corvette.
Dixon got 2nd, & G Rahal got 3rd.
There were some race cars that got dinged up hitting the walls during the race.
