Mine is certainly not centered. I can take a picture if anyone wants to see.

It's not bad, but they are certainly not centered.

They look aqua from here. Without calibrated displays and cameras we are pretty much guessing on color. John could do side by side pictures but I also trust he is using his Mark I Eyeball to validate colors. I know I'm wary about fade when I compare, since the colors on my field are bolder where it was covered.

Quoted from vid1900:

If you guys want to show the colors accurately, take the playfield outside and photograph in natural light.....

It's true. Most LED and compact fluorescents do poorly at rendering color. For bonus points put an 18% grey card next to it.

It's easy to forget that when restorations are done in this hobby (and other hobbies!) we often end up doing things more carefully than the original manufacturer. They had to worry about mass production and we are basically doing boutique work.

I'm prepaid for a playfield and glass, and super excited now that we are getting so close. Sorry to hear that this has been so much headache for you, John.

Same, Evets has me at number 10 on the list. greatwichjohn should we be pinging you at any point via email if we're on the list? My last correspondence with you was in 2017 when you shipped me the prepaid glass. Just want to know what is easy for you.

I just emailed John. Will update you when it ships so you can take me off the list.

#2202 3 years ago

I sent you an email, I'm on the better lens list as my basement is too wet to do any work on the game right now anyway.

#2206 3 years ago
Quoted from j_m_:

I'm glad that you're still keeping the list updated. I've only had 3 people reach out to me with their information to try and create a spreadsheet for john (and all of them were non pre-paid individuals)

How weird, I'm prepaid and sent you info. Either way John and I have been in touch after John's most recent request. We'll get this all done somehow.

I just took a peek at my original Seawitch PF. Even under the posts I would call the original blue a yellow-blue, and not particularly deep. It's lighter than the cabinet blue for sure. Side by side my backglass from John is a good match with a bit more saturation in the midtones.

#2236 3 years ago
Quoted from vec-tor:

Here, these color are almost spot on:
154-L Peacock blue
152-L Light blue
I hope this helps.

What is the Peacock blue spot on for? In your picture it doesn't seem to match anything. The Light blue does look like a nice match for the blue next to it.

Replying to myself because it won't let me edit: interestingly enough both my original and repro plastic sets don't match the original playfield. Remains to be seen how good of a match they are for the new PF.

Quoted from vec-tor:

Peacock blue is for the lighter color blue "constellation" images.

Could you put it side by side? It looks way off in that picture. I moved things around to compare and they look quite different. The accent color looks much closer to the lower playfield blue color on my Seawitch.
