Done!
I bought a NIB LOTR and sold it after a few years. The flippers would heat up and slow down and I tried putting cooling fins on them and the ring shot would piss me off when I'd make a clean hard shot but the damn magnet just dribbled and dropped it. So I dunno, I liked everything else about it and now there are probably good fixes for everything that ticked me off. Never played a POTC. So I go with LOTR.
I have both of these machines and you really cannot go wrong with either choice. That said, they are very different games as many have alluded to. I enjoy POTC when I just want to play some pinball: not a complicated, deep ruleset and for the ham fisted wally of a player that I am, still challenging. When I play LOTR I need to reread the ruleset and that is not a bad thing.

Evidently, not so much.
Quoted from LTG:From my customers point of view. Stern Pirates is fun. I no longer have LOTR. Game times on it can get long.
If you ever head south of the sticks. I'm in Hopkins MN. 4 hours from you. If you'd like to try Pirates.
LTG : )
Very nice to offer. I actually picked one up yesterday. I think I'm going to love it plus I can look forward to LOTR in the future.
Thanks!
