I wouldn't just as I didn't want a CSI, TWD, or heavy metals or hard rock band themes. CSI is still weird a theme about murder and autopsies. No thanks! I'm personally not into themes that I find depressing or gruesome. Maybe because I'm a counselor and see and hear so much negative and painful stuff my opinion is skewed, I prefer mostly light, upbeat and uplifting themes.
I'm also fine with more serious themes but themes like the Vietnam War, ones with a ton of harsh language, or gruesome humor (versus the funny and lightheartedness of SM, MM, AMH, MB, etc. even Whirlwind which has humor and doesn't take itself too seriously.) I like the movie Apocalypse Now, Schlinder's List, Hotel Rwanda and other movies that are quite serious and even violent. But watching a movie that I can learn more about human nature, including the good bad and stuff in between is fine. But for me personally some themes for pins are just too heavy and depressing to sound much fun to me.
