Gotta have Jesus with a magnet lift the ball and towel it off. Maybe hold it to release for multiball.
This has to happen. My wife said she'd buy one herself if they made it.

Quoted from Fliptastic:What the hell, count me in!
You are in and so is HeyNow's wife!
Quoted from ccotenj:it would have to be an em... the dude is old school...
That's just, like, your opinion man.

The dude is open to all possibilities.
There are annual Lebowski Festivals across the US. They've been getting bigger every year.
Even the Facebook page has 70K likes. Got to be a few customers in there.
From this day forward, Gary Stern should have people yell out Big Lebowski qoutes at him wherever he is until he makes it, ala bababooeee style.
Whoever has Gary's email, should forward a link to this thread. Or JJP, the guys that made BJM, Skit-B or whoever.
I know this topic comes up from time to time (TBL as a pinball machine), but this seems like the most organized effort to gauge actual interest. In just 24 hours, we have generated what I feel like is a solid 75 pre-orders of this pin.
Pinside is probably an exact proxy for how the world at large thinks about all things. Wouldn't you agree?
Hey RTR! You need to get hold of TRILOGYBEER and have him do an upgrade that pours white Russians as an optional award setting. Owners could pick CREDIT, EXTRA BALL, TICKET, or WHITE RUSSIAN in the settings.
Dan
I can see the pricing card now:
1 play = $.50
3 plays = $1
Bunny s&*#s your c@*# = $1000
Brandt watches = $100
I think we are getting closer (but not there yet) to showing adequate demand for this title.
I feel pretty sure that once demand is demonstrated that we could take the next steps. Like line up a real design team.
Then need someone to manufacture the designed pin. Would need to outsource that to someone that has the facility and workforce in place - JJP, Stern, ?.
Financing the project. I feel pretty confident that we can make that happen with all of the very talented and well resourced people that frequent this forum.
The biggest obstacle that I see, aside from demonstrated demand/interest, is licensing. Not sure the actual chances of making that happen. There are a lot of Lebowski licensed toys/stuff out there, so we aren't facing a Calvin and Hobbes scenario thank goodness.
Does anyone know the 'ropes' in licensing?
Quoted from RTR:Hawkeye, ecurtz, starfighter, tracelifter, Steve_PBH, - I got you guys on the list.
Zappa - you in or out?
In like Flynn
Quoted from jayhawkai:He appears to be an IP attorney or perhaps just stays at Holiday Inn Express frequently.
Either way, we can use his help! I hope he is a TBL fan.
Really, there are a lot of talented people on pinside. Thanks for offering your help too.
I have enjoyed keeping up with this wild thread. It is making me feel crazy enough to think there is a chance this could happen....
Quoted from Zappa:I like the thought of Knox Harrington give his silly laugh when the ball drains...
Wow, you are a fan! I had to look that one up.
Quoted from jarjarisgod:Are these shipping yet? I figure production should be ramped up by now.
Your confidence in the project is encouraging!
Quoted from RTR:Wow, you are a fan! I had to look that one up.
David Thewlis, who played Knox is a great actor, he starred in a film called Naked, where he played a complete psychopath, he is a very busy character actor...
Quoted from jayhawkai:He appears to be an IP attorney or perhaps just stays at Holiday Inn Express frequently.
Well, I PM'd him. We will see if he is interested or if he can be helpful.

He was excellent as Professor Lupin in the Harry Potter films as well. Great actor.
I hope some pin maker comes to their senses and makes this happen there does seem to be a solid following of the film from pinheads. AM I WRONG!!!! Okay then...

No, Walter, you're not wrong, you're just a moderator.
If they can license this, a pinball machine should be no problem:

Quoted from futurepinhead:LCD it and I'm in. If you put a rug on the playfield it would real tie the game together.
I can't guarantee an LCD on the pretend pin, but I will pretend buy your spot - 77 -- if you become pretend dissatisfied.
Quoted from solarvalue:I'd like to preorder please.
Quoted from Steve_PBH:I promised my son one if he picked up his social studies grades.
Steve - please send weekly progress reports from the SS teacher. I will decide at a later time if junior gets on the list.....
Quoted from bombpop:the plot is ludicrous...count me in
It is so ludicrous, it just might work! Welcome #79.
Quoted from RTR:I feel pretty sure that once demand is demonstrated that we could take the next steps.
It would be nice if you're right. I don't know if you remember, but we had about 200 people in on an Elvira 3 and that got us nowhere.
I'd have to take two - never know when someone is gonna piss on one of them.
Its hard to imagine the 15th anniversary just passed and there was no interest on many fronts. It wasn't big when it came out, but has grown in popularity in the last decade.
I am so phucking in it hurts..
Honey I just preordered and paid for a pin that is not going to be produced. Your not mad are you?
Quoted from RTR:Dudes, I have two thumbs down on this thread!
This is one of the greatest ideas ever! Am I wrong? Am I wrong?
Some people can't take jokes and poop on parties, boo to them! Lighten up and have some fun!
Quoted from fattrain:In for one assuming the price point would be closer to 5k
A widebody with a manakin bowler?
At 5K the Dude cannot abide, this aggression will not stand man... the Dude minds.
Quoted from maddog14:I am so phucking in it hurts..
What does a Vietnamese Chinese fusion cuisine duck soup dish have anything to do with TBL? Was that in a deleted scene?
Quoted from RTR:I can't guarantee an LCD on the pretend pin, but I will pretend buy your spot - 77 -- if you become pretend dissatisfied.
Man, there is a lot of disingenuousness in this thread. You seemed so sincere.
