That machine has seen better days. Are the ramps melted as well?
I haven't seen anything that bad personally, but I do remember a thread where someone 'repaired' the lights on a Gorgar using a string christmas tree lights powered by some extra power source. ...crazy.
Quoted from Jeff_PHX_AZ:The ramps look "flame polished!"
I was thinking "flamethrower" polished.
You would think they could have at least found a smooth bowl. How high could you get on the skillshot with that?

I'm thinking the same tweeker that made the spinout, flamethrower polished the ramps. This machine is rough but I'm bringing it back to life. Found both ramps, the bell, and a better spinout. I'm also fixing acid damage on board, the list is big,but a good learner. Thanks pinsiders for your help.

hey be easy..it was my first time "flame polishing" I though you had to pre heat the ramps the spin out is great innovation.

Nice going, I'am sure you will get it back to the norm soon enough! Did the spinout actually work though? Tweekers do some crazy stuff to things, if they can finish what they start!
I was thinking of starting this topic too... nice starter, hard to beat that one! Here's a contribution from me, found this on a Playmatic Chance I got recently... In fact there were two 'funny' botches on that game... I've seen better, but can't find the pics I took of them yet...

Bring it on... I think this is a great thread and should be sticky! It may also give some repair tips to people who can't find the right parts

CFTBL : caulking in the sludge lagoon
Hi Pinheads
a fortnight ago I took on a second CFTBL resto for a friend with a "Birthday" deadline
Purchased off ebay, "excellent playfield & cab, wont dissapoint!" was the quote
........which was true but missed the "after 60 hours of resto"
Arrived very well wrapped, on pallet......with a broken PF glass surprise once I got
it undressed
Theres some images to get you squirming of the previous OP's idea of maintenance
and I know weve all seen it before, but its always a laugh!
ps. CAULKING IS NOT A FU#KING FIX FOR A COMPLEX MECHANICAL MACHINE
the Snack Bar scoop screws under the PF had been ripped out of their holes
so some white caulking was deemed a substitute in equivalence
you will see how I fixed the issue by using some skateboard deck bolts and
the bastard will never move again!
cheers
