$1 Million? I have no idea what the profit margin is for Stern, but for argument's sake let's say they make $2000 in profit per machine. That means they would have to sell 500 machines to break even with the licensing. I know this is oversimplification and I admit I have no idea what their business model is, but sure seems like a hefty price to pay. I guess if they are able to sell a few thousand units it might be worth it to them. Would be interesting to understand the business models of pinball manufacturers.
