Bought some Bally coin doors to restore and was tearing them down for an Evaporust bath. One had a corroding block off plate. Upon further examination I noticed the coin micro switch wiring was cut. I guess the switch or coin mech went bad, and the tech was stuck on how to block off that chute. I'd of just flipped the coin entrance plate around so it was blank, but this custom cut block off plate is a first for me.

While not a hack, this falls into the WTF category.

Does your long power cord bother you? Just tie it into a braid to shorten it. Paragon I picked up today.

    Quoted from RandyW:

I'm guessing this was owned by a sailor. My grandfather was a Navy man and did this all the time.

After untying the 1st 3 loops , the rest just pulled straight out, not knotted. Somebody knew what they were doing. After inspecting the cord, it's solid with no damage.

    Quoted from pincoin:

If you look at the VIN number it should give the code for the assembly plant, I would like to see exactly what you have there!

If a VIN # starts with "1" USA made. "2" is Canada.

    Quoted from cottonm4:

Those are deck screws, not drywall screws.

Phillips head deck screws are antique now. T20 & T25 Torx are the current standard.

Best place to get fuses? Marco? Home Depot? Ace?

    PBR with your next order.

They modified the game for the kids. Lota of work drilling steel legs.

    At least that's easily fixable.

    Quoted from Markharris2000:

Maybe they also put a squeeze of epoxy under each leg to hold those legs in place??? LOL

The unnecessary flat washers in front of the bolts suggest otherwise, but who knows?

I want to know how they tightened the screw BEHIND the stand-up target!

    Offset Phillips wrench?

Gottlieb Abra Ca Dabra. The fake zero score number was missing so a score reel was cut to replace it. And was installed with Liquid Nails.
