    Quoted from Pintopia:

Picked up a Slugfest from Texas that had a reset issue. The OP expended significant effort in his repair such an extended heat sink, a huge 120v direct wire fan and a carton of Winston’s. Love it...[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Wrong smokes, to solve an overheating reset you need a carton of Kool...

Well, well!! Look what's now up for sale. I guess it ended up not playing as well as he thought it would with the post "mod"? I mean, why bother doing all that work on a high value item if you knew that there was a high chance that it wouldn't work out? That's like putting a lift kit on a pristine Ferrari and then trying to sell it. LOL at the comment[quoted image][quoted image]

Just put a band between those 2 flipper post and install some more post a the top of the outlanes monster scores without removing the glass. That is inovation...

    Quoted from Tuukka:

Linkage is probably working, but the EOS switch sure needs some adjustment...

Seems to be on the wrong side of the flipper crank. Don't if that can be adjusted into spec...

Lattice panel pins are a first for me.... Hopefully also the last.

Wire nuts, pretty colors. Sad they did not toss in an orange one....

    Quoted from pinballplusMN:

This was an end plug. A little loose so wrap it up a little to tighten up. Missing a rubber grommet so more line cord helps.

Maybe it is an attempt at a home grown surge supressor?

They must have been out of 1/4 inch brass bolts...

    Quoted from hazmat7719:

That looks like a .22 magnum!

Use .22 magnum to replace a slow blow fuse. .22 LR for standard fuses and .22 short for fast acting fuse replacment. Information from Moe Ron`s book of pinball repair.

That is even better than the machine I bought that had a flipper coil held on by a bread bag tie.

I picked up a Lost World project, they it was working until some smoke came out. F4 had a 25 amp fuse in it, might be something to do with hole burned in board by the bridge.
    Some nice wiring hacks also.

The 25 amp fuse did not open. The transformer must have been hot, some potting compound dripped out. I hope the transformer lived thru it.
I was impressed with the wires just wrapped around the test points.

Gotta love trouble shooting thru the smoke location method.
