Connector missing, wires soldered directly to the connector pins on the board.

    Quoted from MattElder:

This mess was in one of my USA Football machines. I can't even remember what they were trying to achieve, but they had phone wire, other misc. low volt cable, a plug-in transformer, and a triple-decker board of some sort in there. They even relocated the coin door switches and had them tied in somehow.

    I believe that's a time travel device.

    Quoted from ForceFlow:

In this case, it was a glue gun

That's not glue. It's alien slime, since the board was modified by ET as part of his "phone home" hack.

    Quoted from TecumsehPlissken:

I wonder if any of the hacker's responsible ever come on to Pinside & recognize their handy work

Barakandl's last example was my board. I did not create that hack. It was that way when I got it (I swear!).
Back in the game and working great now.

    Flippers sticking?
    Grease 'em!
    Still sticking?
Put in giant return springs connected to huge screws stuck into the playfield!

    Quoted from jibmums:

How are they not sticking out of the top of the playfield?!
And what game is that, I don't recognize the flipper/insert layout.

One screw did come through the top of the playfield. D'oH!
Fortunately it is just next to the apron and the small hole won't be very noticeable when I pull the screw back out.
    It's Zac Time Machine.
This is one of the ones CFH is selling "as-is". Looks pretty good (other than this) and I now have it booting up and playing.

    OH MY GOD THAT'S CREEPY!

    Quoted from Spyderturbo007:

I also especially like the flipper button mod. Not quite sure what they were trying to accomplish with that one,m but they did it on both sides.

It was an "Aw, screw it!" moment.

    Quoted from Radius118:

Unfortunately Sears is not long for this world. At the rate they have been closing stores I think you can consider yourself lucky if you have one within 50 miles of where you live. I save up a bunch of stuff before making the trek.
The days of the Craftsman lifetime warranty are numbered. Too bad as they are pretty decent tools. Definitely not on the level of Snap-On but a lot better than a lot of the junk out there.

    Craftsman ≠ Sears
Craftsman was split off from Sears a while ago. Craftsman is now sold at Sears, in addition to Ace Hardware and other places.
    Craftsman will outlive Sears.

Edit: Not years ago, but a while back.

    Quoted from PghPinballRescue:

I wonder how many of these hacks were done other people here, but they're too ashamed to admit it?

I would claim the cardboard transistor mounting if I did that.

They did a helluva job on both sides of the ball. Couldnt be any happier!

    Harbaugeddon.

    Quoted from Okarcades:

I was in a pinch on route and had to have a new drop target reset for attack from Mars. It actually seems more solid than the original that I've replaced on it twice now.
I don't do many "hacks" but this time I did.[quoted image]

Did you have to break a window to get into your house when you got home?

    Quoted from rennervision:

tape popsickle sticks to the flippers.

    I wanna see that now.

Seems more like a pinball horror pic than a hack.
