    Quoted from Sonny_Jim:

    WARNING:
Some pictures in the link below are only for the brave.
If you do not want to see a valuable sample IJ playfield ruined by screwing posts into it, I suggest you look away now.
    http://www.pinwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=What_is_a_%22Hack%22%3F
Remember, if you screw a post into it, it'll probably fix it.

Thanks, that just made my day.Saved me hours of typing trying to explain all my pinball problems on line, now I have all the knowledge I need and can get stuck into those repairs. Thanks again. :-)P S,do you know anyone who stocks those lagre screws?

Tek screw anyone? Seriously, some people have absolutely no idea. Found on a Black Rose that I just purchased.

Still waiting for the thread titled "Best hacks you ever saw".This was in the bottom of the cabinet of BBBB .They have cut out part of an aluminum ginger beer can and bent ot to shape to keep the game going.

It looks like a hack to me. What are those staples supposed to do?

The pinout details should be in the manual.

One of about three games that I don't have the manual for.

Oh man, that's the worst! I don't know what people are thinking lol

    They are not!

Here's another fairly common one on my Pool Sharks. When the centre post gets loose just drill another hole. Who cares if it's not central or not.

    Quoted from Robotworkshop:

I guess they never thought about the toothpick trick. If they are going to get out the drill at least do it though the original hole and put a T nut on the back and change the post to a threaded one. That would have fixed it and been an upgrade.
    What were they thinking??

    They were not!

    Quoted from Mr_Tantrum:

The much desired dropped off-center post ... brilliant!
By the way, the third pic is where I finally saw what you were talking about.

Makes it interesting when deciding whether to leave the ball or not. Feeds the right flipper nicely.

    Quoted from pinzrfun:

    Flipper plate holes stripped?
No problem! I have some long screws around here, don't i?
This game also holds the record for most burned out bulbs of any game I've ever bought - virtually every GI light was burned out, in addition to the baked backbox connector. They musta only played it with the basement lights on cause they couldn't have seen the ball otherwise.

Second one or nail below the flipper?

Replaced one old, worn connector with another old worn connector?

    And the wrong size.
