Quoted from reynolds531:Mr. Vid, sir: How many times did I look through your tutorials? Countless. I will assume that there is no sarcasm in your comment. Is this better/bigger?

Werkin' away at my Mousin' Around freebee project that I started a thread on in the summer. Diverter, flippers, kicker, are all rebuilt. Found a couple interesting things so far.
The ball plunger was so mushroomed I had to cut it out. I guess there wasn't a rubber on it for a decade or something.
Instead of a retaining ring on the plunger assy, there was a washer cut into a C shape, and jammed over the rod. Kind of crafty.
In one of the flipper assy, I found a bent metal rod substituting for the linkage. Also pretty crafty.
Quoted from jwwhite15:So not necessarily a hack, just people either not paying attention or not knowing what the hell they are doing. I find it amusing and thought I would share. Can you see the problem?

Man those targets must be tough to hit!

What's with the spring running from the underside of the PF?
Two weekends ago the "assist" kicker stopped working in the WCS that I have at a local pub. The assembly was sketchy to begin with and I didn't trust it, it was welded back together by a previous owner, so I already had parts on order. When it broke, the parts hadn't arrived yet, so I stuffed the saucer with foam weather stripping and taped over the hole with painter's tape that *sort of* color matched the playfield. I received the new parts and was able to fix it last weekend though.
If I hadn't covered the hole in the meantime, the game would have been completely unplayable.
Quoted from ForceFlow:I'd love to see that problem today.
Yeah, I have the only 2 pins on location in a city of 50,000 people, well maintained and in a popular microbrewery, and I figure I could go 3 or 4 months without emptying Theatre of Magic, and 8 months for whatever I put beside it.
Quoted from MrBally:Asteroids followed with initials. Kids were quite creative with three letter versions of their favorite words. Fuk etc.
But the best was when either Exidy or Gremlin allowed a list of high score names on the monitor. They were writing stories at bowling alley arcades such as:
Betty at the
counter has a
nice ass and
will swallow
your load
Sorry if I shocked and offended anyone.
That might be a brilliant revenue generation strategy. If you screw up and score too high or too low, or if someone beats even one of your scores, your message is screwed up and you have to play until you refresh the entire top score board.

Ummm, is there a recluse spider hiding under the hack in the picture???
