Quoted from Ronnie1114:On a Batman Data east... It works fine too LOL
Very nice
I notice your Batman has a REV2 CPU board (Secret Service ~ Phantom o/t Opera). Your slingshots and popbumpers are probably not working. REV2 boards use special solenoid inputs, at REV3 boards these are controlled by the switch matrix.
Quoted from Billc479:May be the beer - why the two diodes on the back of the board?
It is a trick to lift the +5V a bit in order to prevent resets. The execution however will not win a beauty contest.
Quoted from gunstarhero:Dsuperbee showed me this beautiful hack he found on his JP that he's fixing up:

Looks like someone just got a new cordless powertool for his birthday and was desperate to try it......
Quoted from Bakerman:Anything that I should look for to confirm this?
It would be nice to add it to the serial number dbase. So far the earliest machine has serial #1159
Quoted from aeneas:Interesting to see how opinions change over the years, now this is a hack, 15 years ago the jumpers were considered a must.
For me it is a hack. Even 15 years ago. It might be effective in some cases but it looks like ****. When plated holes or VIA's are busted I create new ones by drilling 1mm holes on strategic places and create new connections by soldering small pieces of solid wire to top and bottomlayer traces.
A few hacks/creative fixes I encountered last weekend....
A nice new link ……
Edge connector repair on a system 80 CPU board out of a Devil's Dare game...
Working as a volunteer in a pinball repair shop; some encounters with creative repairs…...
A repaired coil stop with some help from an Allen bolt....
Notice the cracks in the crappy "enforced" Suzo coilstops. I do not recommend to use these "extra strong" coilstops.
Classic Bally / Stern rectifierboards could have a thread on their own….this one I met in a Flight 2000.....
