    Quoted from Shredso:

Metal sleeves were pretty common, I've seen plenty of them in older games. I always replace them, but I don't see it as a hack. You can still buy them.

Those are cheap, not... I usually toss the metal ones if it's even possible as they usually fuse to the coil and ruin it.

    Quoted from Robotworkshop:

I guess this is what people do when they run out of fuse clips. Going to strip all that off and put the correct fresh fuse clips on the board. That and replace the TIP that recently shorted....

I've seen much worse, I'd leave the fuse holder.

A non scarring hack at least...

Would this be considered a "hack" for that pf? (Cut down version mounted to my garage ceiling)

    Quoted from chad:

Oh my , it's the cocktail version...

Ha, yup. I bought out an old OP years ago, this of was leaning against a wall in his basement, in 6" of water. Had rotted and was covered in black mold, saved what I could. Saved my Gorgar from that basement, it had lost a few inches off the legs from sitting in water for years, but otherwise was in great shape.

    Quoted from JethroP:

    Troubleshoot this!
    [quoted image]

That's nothing compared to the server room at my work (wish I could get a pic). First you have to trudge throw a foot deep of trash (coffee cups, discarded wiring, and straight up trash) to walk through, wires hanging from the ceiling everywhere, box fans tied to the server racks with trash bags, alarms going off everywhere, stagnant water everywhere, UPS's years past serviceable dates.
    (Typical government setup)

    Quoted from PinJim:

Hard to believe any business runs like that. My industry is distribution. I guess the big box stores don’t care if they lose a distribution center for the short term. They simply don’t invest the money to maintain them properly…..

Not a business, state building. They also had a service contract on the UPS's, but never even used it, our MIS never bothered to return any correspondence from the provider. O, and that part of the building has been condemned for years.
