First of all, wrong coil. Second of all look at at the bare wire which is overkill in gauge. I started banging on the flipper and check out the arc that I screenshot off a video.

Williams coils in a GTB game might be ok but I got 2 of the right ones from Steve Young and full flipper kit.

    Quoted from pinballinreno:

    Normal for mods installs...

Alligator clips under playfield make me nervous. If you are committed to the MOD then solder that thing in there. Otherwise one bump, vibration and your clip is on the loose and just needs to bounce into a coil and it's bad news bears.

Someone out there needs their drywall screws back.

I could finish a basement with all the drywall screws I’ve seen in pinballs over the years. Those were an operators best friend back in the day.

We streamed that Pinbot before it left it turned out really nice. Towards the beginning pinballplusMN nailed the skill shot for 1 million too!

Just catching up on this thread now didn’t know there were these pics until now.

At first I thought this was because they ran out of solder. I think the coil extends so far out it hits the back panel

Not the worst but a pain getting the legs off

Someone ran a wood screw into the bracket which is still in there.

    Here’s what’s really funny…

The correct coil I needed (29-1000) came with a previous game that came in for repair which was provided for me to repair zipper flipper on Doozie. Turns out they bought the wrong coils which is why it kept burning up so the last 29-1000 was perfect for this game and saved me another order with Steve Young.

But now I have two more EMs for myself as of this morning so now it’s time to place another order.

I guess that was to keep anyone from stealing the legs.

That reminds me of my Atlantis backbox panel. Someone really beefed it up. Maybe people wanted free games. Regular one on the left for reference

This one I approve of. $0.50 fix to make the eject hole easier to stick (it’s an IJ)

Not really a hack but a no slotted screw head. I saw this once at work but not in pinball. This is for a score reel EOS if it isn’t obvious to some.
