There is a recent topic for best callouts. How about worst callouts? Ones that you cringe when hearing.

To start things off in High Roller Casino the callout "I'll take them anyway I can get them. . . just like my women" makes me cringe and I hope people don't overhear it.

    Any other awful callouts?

    #2 62 days ago

My wife and I get a good laugh out of the terrible Bally/Williams over sexualized 90s tables, mostly TOM's "Shoot for the magic trunk!" but a lot of them like JackBot, TOTAN. You just gotta feel bad for the girl voice actor who was just given these lines to say suggestively and probably has never played a game of pinball in her life.

    #3 62 days ago

    Most of TWD

    #4 62 days ago

X files. So much potential too.

    #5 62 days ago

I dunno about worst but here are a few imho.

The most annoying: Jackpot callout in Earthshaker.

The completely indistinguishable: whatever Homer Simpson says with the kickback on the DE Simpsons.

Cringifest: High Roller Casino the callout "I'll take them anyway I can get them. . . just like my women"
One that makes me the angriest on location: ToM - "You must concentrate!" THE HELL DO YOU THINK I'M DOING???

    #6 62 days ago

Stargate by a mile, SHOOT THE PYRAMID.

    #7 62 days ago

Breakshot can be grating at times, I like the machine though.

Laughing girls in Houdini can be a bit much as well (though not sure those are callouts as much as sound effects).

    #8 62 days ago

    X-Men. All of them.

    #9 62 days ago
    Quoted from maf-mi:

Stargate by a mile, SHOOT THE PYRAMID.

Worse than "Shoot the spinnnnner......Shoot the basket!!!" ?

Now let's leave before the Gottlieb lovers start telling us how to disable those call outs

That's Apu saying "come again". The left targets and outlane is the Kwik-E-Mart.

    #11 62 days ago

I could start listing them but I hope ur not busy for about a month.
The ones that immediately came to mind
    SS
    Met
    Xmen
    TWD
    Americas most haunted
    BK3
alot of JP3. "Why would Nedry do this"
Oh man I gotta stop before I make myself sick.
Here's my question and something that makes me so sad.
How did they ever get a final approval. Its terrible.

    #12 62 days ago

Oh I forgot and damn u QuietEarp for making relive these atrocities of voice over work.
GOTG and worse of all SMvault

    #13 62 days ago

What in the fuck are you talking about?

    #14 62 days ago

You shore need that ramp shot

    #15 62 days ago

    "Lamont?"

    "Margo."

Also, everyone in Pinball Magic telling you to "focus" and "concentrate."

    #16 62 days ago

JP Nedry when tilt warning aaahh aahh ahhhh ahhh ahhh ahhh. Lucky the machine was on rental, i couldn't get it out of the place quick enough.

    #17 62 days ago

All of the Chloe callouts on 24.

    #18 62 days ago

    "Woah, horses!"

    #19 62 days ago

    Almost every DI callout...

Sorry it confused you. The call outs in Metallica are embarrassing. What do you find appealing about those guys telling u to make shots and the other rotten call outs that are meant to be funny and just aren't at all. Its awful. I like the music, expect for anything after Justice but I could live with that, otherwise. Garbage. U know what am talking about?

    #25 62 days ago

The Sean Mockery vo in Indiana Jones, worst vo acting I've ever heard in a pinball game. In fact most Stern games have awful vo, I think they do it themselves to save a few quid.

    #26 62 days ago

    Hook- "Bangarang!"

    #27 62 days ago
    Quoted from ViperJelly:

    Breakshot can be grating.

    Breakshot by a mile!!
That girl’s voice is nails on a chalkboard.
Fastest I have ever sold a machine- all because of that voice...

    #28 62 days ago

+1 Metallica. Great game. I like the band. But voice actors they sure ain’t.

    #29 62 days ago

Bone's callouts on Stern Star Trek are pretty weak. I don't blame Karl Urban though, I have a feeling it was a lack of coaching on how to do good callouts.

    #30 62 days ago

    Ok,ok,ok, / wro,wrong,wrong hat

    #31 62 days ago

Any licensed them that didn’t get the actual actors voices and voice actors sound nothing at all like the original.

Good call, stern potc annoys the hell outta me.

    #33 62 days ago

No Good Gofers. Voted number 1; Route tech complained of broken glass and vandalism.

You don't know how to play this game. great

    #34 62 days ago

I like most of the call outs in MET expect for Lars’ stupid ones. Especially “Hey kid we’re gonna fry him real good” or some shit like that. Dumb. Say something like hey dude, or bub, or man or something other than kid.

    #35 62 days ago

    While I'm at it....
The Electric Shock scream in Barb Wire.

    #36 62 days ago

Not a call out but for me the worst sound in pinball is the VUK on WH2O.

    #37 62 days ago

Draining your last ball on Riverboat Gambler the lady says in an obnoxious way:

    Cashing out?

But she holds onto her syllables way too long.

Not really? If you have better ideas for what could be said maybe I could understand. They are just band dudes. Not much else you can do.

    #41 62 days ago

The callouts in SM Vault are just awful.

Here's a better idea. Have the call outs all sound like Charlie Browns teacher that would have been better. The best option? do the same thing as IronMaiden. Those were good sounding voice actors for the theme, decent call outs too. I don't want to hear Lars say anything while I'm playing a game, and the other 3. It was very bland and dry and just bad. Hey if u like it good. Luckily I was able to attenuate them out of existence and loved my Pre.

That was as stupid as having Winston doing call outs on GB's. Just use the movie qoutes and a voice actor for the jackpots and stuff.

    #44 62 days ago

Hazzlehoff they're not THAT bad dude. At least they used the real band. Imagine how shitty it would be been with voice actors lol.
Jimmy Hetfield woulda never let that happen cause he's a pinhead like us.

    #45 62 days ago

SF2 has ass callouts. Love the game but Gottlieb really mailed that in

I felt that when stern first implemented them it was a train wreck. They just recorded and slammed them in with no editing. Then, they went back and mixed them in properly with the correct queues, mixing quality, and proper variety; and now, on the current code I think theyre awesome and fit the game very well.

I didn't like them. I agree though if they had voice actors pretending to be the band it would have been shit and rather disturbing. I personally would have preferred no band members. Imagine if they made a Slayer pin and ruined with K King call outs, wouldn't u prefer and nice deep evil voice by a seasoned voice actor. I know you would Gryszzz, I just know it.

    #48 61 days ago

We all know the ONLY voice that would ever have any business on a Slayer pin would be the Black Knight himself.
    Steve Ritchie or NOBODY.

    #49 61 days ago

But that'll never happen. And if by some crazy chance it did, it would be a small run and another shitty Whoa Nellie reskin.

    #50 61 days ago

Metallica call outs aren’t that bad cause Lyman mixed them in appropriately. Plus, Herfield’s call outs are bad ass! “Jack fu**in’ pot!!”
