    Quoted from travisbmartin:

Which now makes me wonder how some of the WW2 themed video games fared overseas when they were big here.

    As far as home games.

Some like ones based on Midway, weren't available in Japan.

Of course a Pearl Harbor one wouldn't have gone over well here either.

    Quoted from Plungemaster:

Why on earth would wwII not have any interest in europe?

Second time they got leveled in 50 years. Not to mention war fought on your soil breeds all kind of problems. Collaborators and what not. Feelings can run deep for years.

Parts of the South still remember the Civil War, and ain't fond of northerners.

Maybe we are going about this all wrong. Back to a Peanuts pin with a Snoopy VS the Red Baron part ?

    Quoted from Pinballmike217:

The Russians raping of over two million German women after the defeat.

Not condoning the atrocities of war.

My ex's take on this ( she was half Russian and half Ukrainian, and lost relatives in the war ) was that a soldier is thousands of miles from home. His wife and children murdered, his farm burned. He had nothing to go back to. And a woman walks by.

When Berlin fell, not even Zukov could have held back an army that had suffered and fought for years. You train people to kill and morals go out the window.

Neither Russia or Germany signed the Geneva peace accords. Neither side had a good record of taking care of prisoners or returning them. Neither side were kind to civilians.

    War is hell.

I should of said, war is worse than hell.

There are no innocent bystanders in hell.
